Hoping the lovely bunch of May starters thread 3 finds this new thread. Can't believe we are on 4 in the space of couple of weeks.

Thread 3 is now full so can't post the link for the new one there.

My visceral fat went down a point on my smart scales today. It’sbeen stuck on the same for nearly a month so I’m very pleased about that. I’ve also passed 25% mark on on journey to a healthy weight. Still some way to go but feeling positive after a very slow loss week last week. Shattered now after a swim this evening but I’ve been getting my 12 year old to come swim lengths either me lately and it’s so lovely doing it together.

TreesOfGreen99 · 30/06/2025 22:46

Sorry not sure on a 2.5 pen.

On a 5mg pen - 60 clicks = 5mg
so 12 clicks = 1 mg
6 clicks = 0.5mg

3 mg = 12 x3 = 36 clicks
2.5mg = 12x2. + 6x1 =30 clicks

HTH 😊

I can’t remember the figures exactly but they charge an awful lot for delivery maybe 20 quid?

Mainland uk is 5.95 or 3.30 for a slower service?

Gingercar · 30/06/2025 22:53

I can’t wait to go up to 5mg tomorrow night. I dropped from 4mg to 2.5mg last week, simply because I had that much left over. I’ve been good, I think, but it’s taken a fair bit of willpower and I’ve felt hungrier- a preview of the end of the journey, perhaps! And this heat hasn’t helped (although I think we’ve had it much better up north and it’s meant to cool here tomorrow. Our house is old and relatively cool, but the horses struggle.

Someone was asking about doses earlier this might help first one has more detail but is not blurry dorry!

@Booklover2021 i found this useful

Mounjour · 01/07/2025 06:37

Could well be @Apprenante , or the heat disturbing my sleep (or more likely the MD).

I have done three pens at 2.5mg or lower (with a break in April) and am going to go up this Thursday. I’ll try 3mg to finish off current pen and then all being well, 3.3mg doses out of a 5mg.
The positive about this is I hope for more steady weight loss.
The negative is I feel it doesn’t bode well for maintenance.

Good luck today everyone!

BrienneMonroe · 01/07/2025 07:10

@AccidentalPrawnYouFool no probs!

Weigh in day today and i have lost a grand total of 0.2kg this week!!

Tbh I'm surprised with any loss as the suppression was ni for the last couple of days but I didn't want to jab early and spend days on the loo again!

So after 7 weeks...

SW 102.2kg
CW 94.3kg

Total loss 7.9kg which is just over 1kg a week. It's not the rapid loss that some people have, but i take steroids so any loss is good.

Good luck to anyone else weighing in today 🤞🤞

notgonnafail · 01/07/2025 08:58

@Apprenante I still have another 65-70lbs to lose before I can change my name, I think! Also have another exam in October, so going to leave it as it is for now, but am looking forward to the day I can change it!

FlorenceNightshade · 01/07/2025 09:03

Tuesday check in for me too today!

SW 92.9
CW 81.2

So after seven doses I’ve lost 2.3kg this week making my totals so far 11.7kg and over 12% of my body weight! BMI down from 30 to 26.4.

I went up to 5mg last week and definitely noticed some nausea the first few days and felt a bit headachey. Nothing that some Cyclizine and Paracetamol didn’t take care of but the first real negatives I’ve noticed. I think I’ll be sticking with 5mg for next pen and may even go down to 3.75mg if it gets too much.

Actually blowing my mind that next week I might start seeing numbers in the 70s on the scale! Never seen less than 80s as an adult so that will be a moment!

Ive been making a real effort with exercise and walking everyday with my wee weighted vest on, at least one run and a few bike rides and dumbbell sessions through the week!

I use a mix of The Body Coach (he has loads of 15 minute videos and who doesn’t realistically have 15 mins to spare!?), HASFit and I’ve been taking the recommendations from here and tried Lucy double-barrelled and was it MadFit? Good for a change so please keep your recs coming!

Oh and for all the sneaky stabbers - still not told anyone in real life! My Husband made a little comment about my increased exercise that I thought would start a conversation about weight loss but it didn’t! I would never lie to him just haven’t mentioned it!!

Hope everyone has a good week with little and big wins on and off the scales and shares them here with the best online cheer squad!

Onwards and downwards ✌️

Gingercar · 01/07/2025 09:36

Morning ladies.
weigh in no 6 for me and I’ve lost 1.5 lbs meaning I’ve lost 18lbs in total. Which was one of my little targets - I’ve lost the weight of my little dog! Who feels pretty heavy if I have to carry her for long. Also quite worrying because I’ve got a couple more of her to lose, scary to think how much weight extra weight I’ve carried around - my Labrador weighs just over half of the weight I needed to lose, and I can barely lift him.

So Im hoping I might be realistic if I aim for 2stone off by our wedding anniversary (early Aug), three stone off by Halloween and four stone off by Xmas.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 01/07/2025 10:26

Me and my little spreadsheet hanging out like a pair of nerds. No, you're a data analyst. Going to have a separate tab for GRAPHS galore when I have more data. MMm, data.

Very inspired by you motivated, rapidly shrinking lovely bunch this week. Need to get exercising. Think I might take the kids swimming later in the week and see if they'll do lengths with me.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 01/07/2025 10:28

Spreadsheet is feeling shy - come on, there we go

May Starters Thread 4 ~ Onwards & Downwards!
lifetheuniverseandeverything42 · 01/07/2025 10:38

@DidILeaveTheGasOni took my 12 year old to swim lengths with me last night. We’ve done it a few times and it’s really nice. Lovely and refreshing with the heat and it had dropped a few degrees by the time we left after 8pm. Not quite brave enough to try with my 9 year old yet. She can swim lengths but think she’d find swimming 30+ lengths a bit too much.

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 01/07/2025 10:48

Struggling a bit with SE this week here. Last week for the second 5mg jab I had a day of sulphur burps and diarrhoea, 3 days after jabbing. This week on day 4 I woke up with the same awful burps and ended up being really sick and then the diarrhoea started, so feels worse than last week. Its like my body decided to clear out everything it couldn’t digest 🤢.

Was feeling much less fatigued than the first 2 weeks on 5mg so thought I was adjusting but I can’t be doing this every week… not eaten anything that I would think would cause it, just protein & salad in the main.

Ugh, not sure what to try next, maybe I need to reduce the dose on the next jab.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 01/07/2025 10:52

@lifetheuniverseandeverything42 Think if I tried to swim 30 lengths I'd die. I'm not sure I can even do one!

@ConfusedMiddleAger83 That sounds like hell on earth, blimey. You poor thing!

This is exactly what happened to me. Almost word for word on the same second week job. I’m planning on speaking to my pharmacist today to see if she recommends goin down to 3.75 this week as quite frankly I’m nervous! I’ll let you know what she says!

I’ve reached out to my provider for advice too, will report back! The weight loss is going really well so I’m determined to find a way through!

SutekhsEars · 01/07/2025 11:30

I went swimming yesterday - the feeling of sliding into the cool water was delicious!

Apprenante · 01/07/2025 11:43

@ConfusedMiddleAger83 I didn't go up to 5, just 3.75 (45 clicks) and so far no additional SEs. I'm a bit of a rule-breaker - or just pig-headed? - and didn't even think about asking the provider for advice. It just made sense to me that I should increase gradually.

I'm not planning to increase for the next syringe either as I still get really good suppression. I've stretched the jabs out to more than 30 days too, and lived to tell the tale.

Obviously I'm not advising you or anyone else what to do.

HKG · 01/07/2025 11:55

@ConfusedMiddleAger83 just spoke to her and she recommended staying on 5mg for this next jab and seeing if it was a one off seeing as I did not have this reaction on the first dose of 5mg. She said we could review after and keep her posted.

still nervous but will see how I feel
tomorrow on jab day!

Sallycinnamum · 01/07/2025 12:13

As of today I've lost a stone and a half. Absolutely over the moon as I really wasn't sure if MJ was going to work for me.

Ordered another 5mg pen from Chemist4u but I've got a feeling they're not going to approve it as my BMI is now 24.

The suppression on 3.5 is unreal. Really struggling to eat but ploughing on. SE have lessened but very slightly nauseous in the morning.

My new target is 9.12 which may not be achievable as I haven't been that weight for decades. Time will tell!

BrienneMonroe · 01/07/2025 12:15

Forgot to post on Friday!

0.8lbs lost for week 8 on 2.5. Was getting impatient so researched what to do before considering increasing dose so moved from thigh to arm for jab 9. Definite increase in suppression and satiety. No food noise at all!

Was 189lbs on Friday. Today am 185.6lbs!

Will stay on arms until weight slows again or side effects hit them move site again!

Golden dose due on Friday and another 2.5 pen in the fridge ready to go.

SW 208.8
Initial goal weight 180lbs
CW 185.6lbs

Lost 22.6 in 8.5 wks on 2.5

Starting feel like me again

Good luck! I think it’s the fact it has happened 2 weeks running that is worrying me as I don’t want this to be a regular occurrence.

Fingers crossed it was a one off for you!
