This is our 11th month - gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly

some are at goal - and working out maintenance

some nearing it

some still have weight they want to lose

Some have stopped and blowing baby dust your way or money and can start again

but ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives 💖

@poppym12 Oh I absolutely still eat junk, and sweets. I have a very sweet tooth which MJ has kind of dampened but still, in this hot weather I'm on a Magnum a day (mint flavour preferred) and still losing. When I go to the cinema I still have a bag of pick n mix, though much smaller than before. In the months when I was off MJ after the first round, I found that I'd reset my eating habits enough to be ok in eating treats in small quantities, rather than eating some cake, thinking "Oh GOD well that's fucked it" and then eating the entire cake.

Maintenance call done. Hira was very nice, I’m going to do conti and stick on my dose for now. She’s happy to change me to taper whenever I want.

she offered to do my weight verification but my batteries died in the scales so sticking with tomorrow.

she also asked if Voy did a weight verification video in the start and said it was problematic as no one was doing that at the beginning and she has to justify for each person that she knows where they started out.

@Azuresky68 my goodness!!! I wonder if I know your friend? And people may laugh at me asking but this is such a small place that the 6 degrees of separation are really like 3 degrees of it.

I hope Oman was good to you and that you left with some happy memories of the country and wonderful people I love so much.

And Dubai - if you ever come to Oman again I’ll drive us up to Dubai for a very budget friendly long weekend and let you see the real Dubai as well as the very glitzy side of it that doesn’t have to cost much, if anything.

@Weepixie maybe you do! She lived there many years ago when the country was developing as her husband is a country planner and he was part of the infrastructure planning. She is a very dear friend who I have known since I was 5. I won't be going back to Oman due to the travelling time and costs but I thought the people there were wonderful. We swam in one of the Wadi's, went to the Grand Mosque, went for an Indian Tali meal and visited some of the stunning hotels and resorts there. A lovely holiday. How long have you lived there?

@Azuresky68 I’ve been here almost 50 years. Right way back from the very beginning. I’m married from here. It’s been my absolute pleasure to have been at the birth of the country and its subsequent growth. I love the country of my birth but my heart is here.

It sounds like you had a lovely holiday. And isn’t it great to have friends going back as far as you can remember. ❤️

What a small world it is, my next door neighbours son lived in Oman and had a business as an Osteopath. He just came back about 3 years ago. I don't fancy Dubai at all, it scares me a lot, my friend, well 2 actually rave about it and go every year, sometimes they split a long holiday between there and the US. Thats another place I always thought id love to visit, my DH says nope. I would love to visit a ranch and actually have a ranch holiday.

@NippyNinjaCrab I think the same. I struggle to pick up dd. She is 3,4s. So I have lost 2 of her minus a lb or two so chop a leg off 😂

the only thing im worried about is with lowering dose will I feel ankle knee and hip pain a lot more ? If I do then I will be going back on it

not sure how will afford it but will see what happens but to not be in pain so much is a huge bonus

and my grade furniture was 200 but they gave me a £40 voucher so was £160

I keep meaning to start doing pilates, at home, but have got a bit distracted with taichi @NippyNinjaCrab Like you I have bulging discs and a shoulder issue so trying to find anything that might help with those.

Dubai can be anything a person wants it to be and as a family we prefer sticking to the less glitzy bits; and stick to the bits that served us well over the years. Not that we don’t like Glitz, we do, but we’re easy scunnered by it so only dip a wee toe in very occasionally

I used to do it but gave up because my tummy was so big I couldn’t get into most of the positions we had to do. In fact I constantly got in my own bloody way, just like yoga, so it was a bit pointless.

But then I found CrossFit 7 years ago and it really was made for me though what I do now is functional fitness with a CrossFit slant to it. My old CrossFit coach moved on from it and devised his own exercise system then opened his personal training studio that’s very much like a CrossFit box so it’s the best of both worlds.

Only my top half. Tummy is white tho being brave with it out in garden. Legs just won’t bloody tan

Best advice for tanned legs @Blondeshavemorefunis to wear the shorts! All the time. As soon as it’s warm enough to switch to shorts for walks etc. I started doing it a few years ago and now they (almost not quite but much better!) will go as brown as my arms etc. also moisturise until you’re a slimy slug 🤣 photo of just moisturised slug legs 🤣 my tummy is as white as a ghost 🤣

@Blondeshavemorefunwell get those pins out as much as possible! The sooner in the year the better. I think it gradually builds up the ability to tan (that might be bollocks but seems to have worked for me as my legs were always lily white!) also I definitely think moisturising helps to keep a tan! I don’t often ‘sit’ in the sun (have the last couple of late afternoons but it gradually builds from naturally being out and about. And thanks always hated my legs but learning to like them now!

Wow @owlyboo I am definitely taking that tip! I'm mega fair but do tan a kind of sandy colour, legs are always hard aren't they. Your legs are a lovely wee colour. I need to moisturise more, what do you use? Xx

Thanks @NippyNinjaCrabgetting them out when it’s a little nippy but the sun is out (see what I did there!) definitely helps. I used double base gel. It’s for dry skin. No scent it’s just super moisturising! But it does sink in quickly so you’re not all greasy.

I think shorts do work better as you can team shorts with a hoody if needs be! (I do!)

I need to invest in new hoodies soon, im going to brave the elements and get the legs out all the time! Yes I what you did there 😂😂😂
I am using an Aveeno one just now but its quite sticky and its as if it goes bitty if I rub my skin yuck. Xx
