Mine is thur so thanks

Mine is Friday. What is the tape measure for? Waist?

i have my maintenance chat on Thursday. I want to stay on but maybe try decreasing my dose and going a bit longer between doses. I don’t mind losing my last 7lbs slowly. I’ve got two 12.5 pens unopened and if I could eek those out for a while I’d be happy. The cost is beginning to get to me a little!

Weepixie · 08/07/2025 20:48

@Azuresky68 hi there, 12.5 made me really unwell and I’d never go back up to it again. So, I’m back to 10mg now and at a standstill but whilst it could be a stall I think it’s because I’ve been so inactive more than anything else. It’s been horribly hot here, up to 50 at times, and though I’ve been here for decades the heat has really bothered me this summer, probably because of the 12.5, but it could even be my age as well. I didn’t go out for a couple of weeks except to the gym where I was too exhausted with the 12.5 to do much of a workout. A catch 22 situation. Then 2 weeks ago I stood up from doing my knitting not realising I’d had my left leg crossed over my right knee so long that my left leg was dead from the knee down and I landed in a bloody heap on the floor. I’ve been in a lot of pain ever since and my foot is still swollen and bruised whilst my right knee, not my artificial one, is still very stiff. So I’ve been in the house, sitting on my backside knitting except for being taken to the gym twice a week where my PT has devised a sitting down upper body workout for me just to get me moving a bit. I also do a version of it at home as well. I can’t even go downstairs and swim because I can’t get out the bloody pool because it’s too much pressure on my foot and knee. In a nutshell I’ve gone from 9000 steps a day to about 1000 for weeks now and I think it’s showing on the scales. But in a way it’s good because even though I knew exercise has always been part of my life, this has shown me that it always has to be or my weight will suffer. Anyway, to get back to 10mg - if the scales haven’t moved by the 15th I’ll reduce my calories by a 100 a day and if I feel like it then I’ll inject every 5 days instead of once a week. I don’t think I’ll have to and I don’t really want to but at least I’m thinking about it - I like having plans in place for things.

lookathatbookcase · 08/07/2025 20:49

Hi loves, thought I'd check in on round 2 of my journey. Been back on MJ for 3 weeks now, 2.5mg again - all very similar to last time, pretty much instant suppression (I was always a weakling). I'm completely shattered which I remembered from first time around - was actually checking back through some of our earliest threads to see if I was this tired in the first month before, and I was 😅.Definitely eating better though this time, now that I've got my meals and snacks sorted and not panicking about how to possibly get enough protein.

I've lost 7lb in the past 3 weeks which brings me down again to just under 13 st which is all fine by me - again, looking back at my tracking spreadsheets I was averaging 2lb/week loss before. I think I have another 2.5 st to go which feels very doable. I've seen people elsewhere on the boards saying that MJ doesn't 'work' if you take a break and come back but that's not my experience.

I also told one more person about being on MJ after she'd remarked that I looked very 'lean' :) Like others, I sold a bunch of my old clothes on Vinted earlier in the year, and have the next lot stacked up on the spare bed ready to go. Looking forward to my birthday at the end of the month and being hopefully even more lean!

lookathatbookcase · 08/07/2025 20:51

and as ever, so grateful to lovely @Blondeshavemorefun for keeping us all going!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/07/2025 22:15

Oh I would love your heat @Weepixie. I love the sun ☀️☀️

are @owlyboo and I the only two to manage 15 with no issues ?

welcome back @lookathatbookcase- I R.E.M. tiredness was a killer in the early weeks /months

aww shucks. I don’t do much. Just nudge and herd you all along 😂 while dangling that elephants penis 🐘🐘

poppym12 · 08/07/2025 22:20

I'm on my 2nd 15 pen with no major issues. Appetite is rubbish for the first couple of days post injection but picks up during the rest of the week. Most strengths have been like that for me.

Weepixie · 08/07/2025 23:12

@Blondeshavemorefun 50c is 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Its deadly heat without even the tiniest bit of a breeze. You feel your skin contracting like a lump of crackling even walking from your garage to your front door, or from the car park to the entrance to a shop and no one woukd survive outside in it very long. You don’t even have to get sunburned to be ill because of it, heat exhaustion let alone sun stroke can make you very ill even without realising it’s happening.

It’s been bloody awful this year but I believe we’re due rain in July and August - that usually means a cyclone but we look forward to it as long as we get a days notice it’s going to happen. 😆

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/07/2025 23:18

Oh. Not 50 like we have 28/30 at the moment in blondesland

@Weepixie waving back at you! Sorry to hear about your injury but glad you have got an upper body exercise routine going..well done. A friend of mine lives in Oman and I visited during the 'cooler' season which was way too hot for me! It was a great experience to visit there. She has lived in other places too..India and Dubaii. I was always invited to visit but could never afford to go. Glad I managed to go to Oman though.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/07/2025 23:18

We are hardcore !

When I caught a glimpse of this post I thought you were replying to me about the temperature and my first thought was - yeah, hardcore bonkers 😅

My son used to love his travels that he’d start planning for the summer as soon as the Christmas tree was put away but that all came to a stop when his condition deteriorated so much about 8 years ago. It really upsets him to this day and summer is very difficult for him so I took the decision that if he couldn’t travel over the summer I wouldn’t either. But this year is very hard weather wise and I’m hoping next year will be different as I won’t be tired from being on Mounjaro and the effort this phase of my life has taken on me mentally and physically.

Im sitting here laughing though because I have one of my granddaughters coming today to take me out for an ice cream 🤣

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/07/2025 06:48

Sounds lovely to have ice cream with a grandaughter

Just checking in everyone to say have a great day and thanks so much for this thread. Enjoy your ice cream @Weepixie
It's day 1 of being really strict again. Jabbed 2 days early.

@Blondeshavemorefun Last night I ordered 4 bikinis from Shein with a special offer voucher and white shorts plus another bikini from Temu..looking forward to the parcels arriving.

Two celebrations this week but no alcohol and I am going to be very strict the other days.

Went for a walk yesterday with friends and off again in 10 minutes for another walk with other friends.

PS has anyone used Chat GPT..I love it! It gave me great ideas and recipes for healthy low carb and high protein meals including calories based on the kind of food I like.
There is a thread on Mumsnet about different things you can use it for.. wardrobe ideas, gardening, interior design, holiday planning 😀

SilverSprings510 · 09/07/2025 12:31

Hi guys, just checking in. Still maintaining at -6.5st; hoping to maaaaybe get another half a stone off before my holiday 🙌🏼 but not putting any pressure on myself.

Been off MJ completely cold turkey for 2 months now so can TTC without worrying!

Hope you’re all okay 🥰

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/07/2025 17:59

Well done @SilverSprings510. Great you are maintaining with no mj. So it can be done

kymb21 · 09/07/2025 19:52

I tried to reorder with Zara (another 10 mg pen) and I have had to submit photos. My BMI is still high and I still have 1.5 stones to lose. I have also tried the 12.5 pen but was so ill on this and never again!

Azuresky68 · 09/07/2025 20:40

@Blondeshavemorefun so many lovely new clothes! I also ordered from Temu. Just looking now for a easy sundress for when I get up and don't want to wander around in my dressing gown!

poppym12 · 09/07/2025 20:51

Can I ask a question?

Do any of you still have the odd really crap day food-wise? Just picking at rubbish foods all day rather than eating a nutritious meal or overdoing the biscuits/cake/chocolate?

I've had a day like that today. Totally shite.

@Blondeshavemorefun I think its my belly that makes a huge difference with clothes, if i gain it all is in the middle but also bloat! Yuck so looks and feel awdul in clothes, I could be in the 12 jeans with nice fitting and not snug then next week I can't fasten them and a huge swollen muffin top.
@poppym12 yes!! If I make a date loaf, or if there's any temptations in the cupboard and I felt shit id have some.

Can I ask how you guys with Oushk got your maintenance calls requested by them? I've been on the taper plan and already had 3 codes and requested another 3 codes 2 days ago and I've had them emailed today. Will I be asked for a video call when I go to order? X

NippyNinjaCrab · 09/07/2025 21:01

I've never bought anything from Shein or Temu. I've recently bought a Laifen hairdryer and its manufactured in China. I'm tempted with Temu and some dresses for pottering about like you @Azuresky68 when I get up in the morning xx

morbidcuriosity · 09/07/2025 21:09

@NippyNinjaCrab Im with the taper plan with oushk too, had my 1st lot of 3 codes last week.. ordered sunday just gone for delivery tuesday 15th, had email today saying approved and will be dispatched 24 hours before date.. also not had my weight verification call yet, but i have got it booked in for next week..
