Help. I had been counting the clicks on a 12.5mg pen as after I ordered it I felt the 10 was still working .

So used and insulin syringe for last magic dose and drew up 0.7ml. There's obviously been a bit left over and only realised that in the 12.5mg pen it should have been 0.6ml. So ive taken more than that. 14.5mg from 10mg

Fuck.

What do I do ?

You need to contact the pharmacy/place you got it from.

Nothing. Try not to panic. It’s still less than the 15mg top dose. You may get stronger suppression this week and possibly some side effects. But you may not. If you plot the doses in an app like Shotsy or DoseDiary then you can see estimated levels over the next few days compared to your previous doses.

The pharmacy will likely suggest watchful waiting, as there’s really nothing else to do.

You might get diarrhoea. Just ride it out. I don’t think there’s much you can do unless you become ill. Probably be ok. I was on 15mg and didn’t have much in the way of side effects until I’d had 3 doses of it

You wanted to take 12.5 but instead took 14.5mg. That’s only 16% more than you wanted to take. Have you had any side effects from 10 or 12.5mg previously?

Chances are you will be fine but just monitor your appetite, any nausea etc. try to eat well and keep hydrated.

You may get increased side effects due to increase in dose, but it's still a standard amount you've taken and you won't overdose on that.

Plenty water and eat little and often. Likely will have slight increase in suppression and any normal side effects but will wear off in 2/3 days. Know a few people who have made similar errors

Yes. Felt 10mg wasn't working as well this week so was going up to 12.5mg

Don’t panic as you haven’t exceeded the top dose but you should let your provider know just in case. Using the Shotsy or equivalent app will help you track the dose and your symptoms.

No wide effects since I first had 2.5mg where I had stomach cramps

Don't worry, it'll be fine. I once accidentally doubled a 10mg dose and took 20mg. Nothing really happened!

I was on 15mg and used the bonus dose which was at least 20mg and was fine. But I ate high protein, low carb, no junk, lots of water on every dose and never had nausea, diarrhoea or anything on any dose.

Did they get worse side effects?

Yes. Used a syringe to extract the bonus dose from a 15mg pen and it was at least 20mg maybe a touch more. As I had never had any adverse side effects I decided to see what happened. It was just another week on Mounjaro for me as nothing different happened. Someone above my post accidentally went from 10mg to 20mg and said nothing happened to them either. Just stay calm and monitor yourself.

Did the injection when drunk. Fifteen minutes later, thought "oh I need to do my injection!" and did it again. Realised in the morning...

Oh God. Of all the things to do when drunk 🤣🤣🤣 however I could see me doing that 🤣

In my defence it was after a work Christmas party last year!

A girl I follow on instagram somehow doubled her dose of 7.5mg - she did a whole series of posts about it - she felt a bit of nausea and anxiety but she was fine.

Don't forget that just going up from 2.5 to 5mg is doubling the dose. That's usually why lots of people struggle with that transition. You are only going up a fraction of that in percentage terms so your body is already used to a high dose.
