This is our 9th month , going to 10th - gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly

some are at goal - and working out maintenance

some nearing it

some still have weight they want to lose

Some have stopped and blowing baby dust your way

but ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives 💖

I have 1 pound left to lose! Still on 10 mg ..only had one pen at 12.5 mg. Then away on holiday so will probably gain back on temporary basis. I have been sticking to a strict 1000 calories a day which is the only way I can lose. I have been feeling very hungry which is a first for me.
Yesterday was a massive test...was very hungry and tired (not been sleeping well for last few weeks) At the till in B&M there were bags of Chocolate buttons for a £1..quite big bags! So so tempted but resisted by saying to myself that it would ruin my calorie count and I should wait until I got home for an omelette. It felt so good to resist. Woke up hungry again this morning too.

silly q but how will you cope once off mj if hungry now ?

once you get your lb off then what ?

Apart from holiday and celebrations I have always stuck to 1000. It has been calculated properly as the right amount for my age and height. My maintenance cals are 1370 😨

No point going up as I am almost at maintenance weight of 8 stone 7 pounds. In fact I had a sneaky weigh this morning and I am at that weight now. So no more weight to lose and I will be officially maintaining....but might have a gain on holiday.

I will probably go down to 5 mg and see how that works.

No plans to come off MJ in a hurry!

How are you doing?

Is everyone’s tdee not 500 to lose 1-2lbs a week so mine will go back to 1700c a day

tho sure if I eat an extra 500 a day so 3500 a week I will gain …….

My maintenance calories is even less at 1294☹️, I’ve always had to have a 1000 day limit on calories if I’m trying to lose weight.
Going forward I’ve just had to accept finally that I must be vigilant about my portion size, I just don’t need huge portions of anything going forward. A bit depressing really!! But I much prefer being slim & clothes look so much better on me than this time last year.

I’m definitely a 1000 a day person too I think.

I had yoghurt, frozen raspberries and a few shreddies for lunch. For breakfast it was a protein shake (never eat solid food!). Dinner will be chilli, lots of veg in it!

I’ve been reading about fat cells, one of my children has got a bit bigger than I’d like and I’m realising that if I don’t turn that around sharpish then he’ll be struggling with weight like me potentially. They need to find a way to reduce the number of fat cells people have!

i got the typical “don’t lose any more” on holiday and a comment about how I’d look “gaunt”. My bmi is just under 24, i definitely won’t look gaunt with another stone gone. Also comments about it being sustainable. I’m afraid weight loss for me is always going to be a battle.

500 is the calorie deficit. The TDEE is your daily calorie allowance plus your 500 if that’s what you chose as your deficit. To lose a pound a week it’s said you need a deficit of 500 daily and to lose two pounds a week you need a deficit of 1000 daily.

According to the mayo clinic, when I get to goal my maintenance will be 1550. However, I am pretty sure I’d gain on that as I’ve messed my metabolism up since I was a teenager.

my plan is to go with 1100-1200 during the week and 1500 at weekends and see where that leaves me.

annoyingly we stopped doing gousto and using calorie trackers is now much harder.

@FurForksSake gosh my BMI is 24 and I am happy with that. I am now 8 stone 7 pounds and that's where I want to stay. Everyone is different though and you shouldn't take any notice of other people. Nobody has said anything negative about my weight but I have had some lovely compliments.

The maintenance calories are related to height, weight and age. Unfortunately mine are lower than 1500. I will probably do the same as @FurForksSake in that I will average mine over a week so I can have 2 days with treats!

It's bloody hard isn't it....but I feel the same about looking good and finally being slim (but quite wrinkly 😅)

Ive honestly no idea. Maybe though if Azuresky feels like it she could explain/link to the TDEE calculator she used to calculate things, but I think this could be straying into dangerous territory and very much seem like a cross examination even when it’s not and I wouldn’t want that for anyone.

My body fat is still sitting quite high and my tummy looks very chubby to me still. I’m a size 10 everywhere now I think, some are loose and I could try an 8 in some places. I’d quite like to be an easy size 8.

I have problems with my hips and spine and all my joints so feel like the more I can get off the better.

i definitely think I won’t look gaunt a stone down from where I am now. I think it is just surprise as they haven’t seen my since Christmas. If they’d seen me regularly it would be different I think.

Sorry, just wanted to say that I think that Azuresky with her 3 times per week very long walks could probably maintain on about 1500 calories per day as she’s not being sedantry, she’s being lightly active. So I suppose how Azuresky could have described her activity level when doing her TDEE could have affected her maintenance calories, also every half inch of her height will count towards her calories so it’s important Azure didn’t round down height wise to suit whatever TDEE calculator she used. Maybe calculating two TDEE’s if a person is falling between 4’11” and 5’ then working out the average for a person is 4’ 11and a half inches would get a person a couple of mouthfuls of food everyday and on 1300 or so calories a day I’d certainly want them. 🤣

But I’ve just had a bit of a shocker. Thought my maintenance calories were going to be 2150 a day but that would have been at my start weight. So I put my target weight I to a calculator and it tells me I’ll be on 1960. 🤣🤣🤣.

I wish I hadn’t bothered 🙈

Hello just checking in to see you all, im hungry today, its 9 days until our holiday yipeeeee. I'm still deaf in one ear with mucus, just finishing another 7 day course of antibiotics for sinus infection. DH bought me soda scones and I put them in the freezer, I could really go one toasted right now! With butter and jam. Yum.
I don't think I could do the counting calories forever, I don't count now but I think i would get fed up and just eat more. I eat a lot of nuts, seeds and full fat so I would use up my allowance rapidly in a day.

You poor thing @NippyNinjaCrab that sounds painful. Never heard of a soda scone, assuming it is not something from round my parts!

I am peeing for England today, no idea why!!

I have found the days I take my psyllium husk capsules I feel a lot better. They are a fibre capsule and I believe it swells a little in your tummy so can help with feeling full. Today I’ve had raspberries and chilli so I should be full of fibre!

@Blondeshavemorefun and @Weepixie Dont worry i dont feel interrogated, I am happy to share my experience! I can't remember which calculator I used ..they vary hugely. The results from the calculator matched what a personal trainer with a degree in nutrition calculated for me. I saw him twice two years ago and followed his advice when I couldn't budge my weight..it was all to do with calorie intake. He advised me to eat 1000 calories 5 days a week and maintenance calories 2 days BUT he said I needed to go to the gym and do HIT exercises twice a week..I hate the gym!! I didnt do much of that bit. To test the maintenance calories before I started he told me to eat my maintenance calories for 2 weeks and record everything in a diary. He gave me goals for protein, fat and carbs too. After 2 weeks I neither lost or gained. Then I followed the plan and lost 8 pounds getting down to 9 stone 12 pounds in July 2023 BUT I couldn't sustain it and by August 2024 I was up to 11 stone. I have spent years putting on and losing the same 2 stone! This is why I probably will stay on MJ for a very long time! I have got down to 8 stone 7 pounds so I have a buffer zone. Can't remember when I was last at 8 stone 7 pounds. The lowest I have managed is 9 stone before I had my first daughter..she is 32 now. Hope that all makes sense!

It’s been ages since I posted and have tried to catch up.
Great to see so many getting to or so close to goal, well done! I believe even blondes conceded a big difference in size!
Everyone’s photos are great. I’m not brave enough to post mine. My arms and legs are super saggy. Arms look terrible, I have to wear long or elbow length sleeves. Legs I’m not so worried about as happy to wear trousers.

I am 8st12 which is the lowest I’ve been ever! I don’t want to lose any more but need to maintain before my holiday which is 4 weeks away. Then I’ll be happy if I put on up to half stone as that’ll be my top of target weight.

I’ve been super busy and super stressed- DS1is still lovesick, DS2 is busy doing exams but school now suspend him each time he won’t do as he’s told! Autistic with demand avoidance.

And now MIL has announced her plan to join us on holiday! She is a nightmare and has already gate crashed and ruined my trip earlier in the year. The answer has to be no, but she doesn’t listen or care.

Hope you’re soon feeling better @NippyNinjaCrab - I used to get lots of sinus and ear trouble when I flew lots. Lots of steaming plus drinking hot water with honey. Avoid all dairy as that causes mucus.
As your holiday is just over a week away, I would get some peppermint oil or karvol for the flight to help ease any blockages or pain on take off or descent.
