Up to date - Best suppliers for Maintenance

Hi there
I'm after recent advice on maintenance suppliers as I think I need to swap.

Current BMI is 28. (Started at 35 8 months ago).

I've been with Zava the whole time and been lucky with people using my code so never paid full price. I've got about 2 vouchers left I think.

I'm hoping to maintain around 26/27.

I'm a life long binge eater/ yo yo dieter and am realistic about the prospect of me being able to maintain long time on my own.

I'd like a supplier where I could try stopping but be able to re-start without having to wait until my BMI hits 30 again.

Previously I remember Cloud where sounding good and IQ I think?

Last I heard Zava weren't offering maintenance.

Oushk are the one that’s often mentioned. They have specific maintenance plans on offer.

Edited, accidental double post…

12purplepencils · 01/04/2025 14:48

I don't really like the sound of them

I think they ask for a monthly subscription even if you're not taking it? And have a weird facebook community

Tbf this is all based on what I've read here 😆

I should add price is a factor too

I'm switching to Pharmulous for maintenance. On Reddit there's a few posts about them and a video from their prescriber who is on a maintenance dose. They support all types of maintenance and no monthly fee.

I'm with oushk for maintenance and it's optional to join in with Facebook community. I stay out of it. You only pay per prescription with 15% off and free delivery for each order. The subscription £12 a month I think) is just if you want to go cold-turkey but stay on their books in case you want to start on it again at a later date. I've had no issues with Oushk. If you take out the Facebook community they are just like any other online pharmacy.

They have a subscription if you want to stop using and still be able to order in the future. If you continue to order it is 15% off and free P&P.

You need to look at (some of the posters on) their Facebook community as free entertainment. They are so predictable it can be fun winding them up sometimes 😇🤣

Does anywhere enable you to stop completely and then restart before your BMI gets to 30, without a monthly subscription if you were previously on the drug through them?

For example if I wanted to try and maintain at BMI 26 but start taking 2.5mg again if I crept up to 27.

Speak with Pharmulous, they may do. They allow you to do 1 month on; 1 month off.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 02/04/2025 06:38

@12purplepencils yes, Pharmulous! I think SOP do too for about 8 months.

I’m with Pharmulous and would highly recommend them. Not super cheap but not outrageously expensive and the service is quietly exceptional!

I plan to switch to The Family Chemist for maintenance as I don't want to pay a maintenance fee to Oushk.

Thingymajig1 · 02/04/2025 07:25

Boots whilst one of the most expensive ones said to me that I could chose to either maintain with current dose, wean of with decreasing doses or go cold turkey but also said if you regain more than 5% of your weight loss you can chose to restart.

Maye88 · 02/04/2025 07:31

I plan to go with oushk for maintenance. They offer 3 plans and if you want to stay on the medication you have 15% off and free delivery. I'm not sure if you can use a discount code aswell as the 15% off but if you can then even better

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 02/04/2025 09:15

@0987654321q I would suggest contacting TFC before switching to discuss their actual maintenance stance as there have been some strange reports on Reddit about them either wanting everyone to come off or to maintain on 2.5.

The blog post from last year doesn’t seem to present their whole picture so make sure you check. (I would also say that I left them because they were sloooow!)

No you don't get an additional discount. The 15% off is a flat discount for maintenance.

You cannot use general discount codes on top of maintenance discount codes, but if they have a discount code running (example black friday they had 20% off) and it works out better than 15% off + free delivery you can use the discount code and keep your maintenance discount code for your next pen.

Maye88 · 02/04/2025 11:24

@WeAllHaveWings ah fair enough. That would have been awesome though 🤭

Finallydoingit24 · 04/04/2025 05:22

Oushk is such a rip off with their monthly subscription.

Finallydoingit24 · 04/04/2025 05:22

Oushk is such a rip off with their monthly subscription.

The 1 off payments (£130 ish
) to be part of their maintenance plan also annoys me. If I have paid them near to a grand or more to lose the weight by buying Mj why should I pay to have access during maintenance.
From what I've seen in the maintenance group so far Oushk aren't doing anything worth paying for.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 04/04/2025 08:56

@0987654321q what one off payment of £130? I haven’t seen anything about that (mind you, I have muted their fb group and their maintenance WhatsApp for obvious reasons…) so may be a bit out of the loop.

Finallydoingit24 · 04/04/2025 09:34

They’ve really cashed in big time haven’t they? Why would they prescribe to someone who has been paying them (for nothing) every month but not to someone who has been on it before and wants to take a maintenance dose? They also just generally piss me off with the community stuff and worshipping of the owner - comes across a bit culty.
