What do you use to track your food intake?

I am using the WW app to track my eating. I’m finding it really helpful, I can set it to macros, points and calories.

It is particularly helpful to remind me to eat enough each day.

Another nutracheck fan - switched from MFP. Around £28 for the year. DH has it too and we can share recipes. Like the weak view and easier days functions and uk supermarket/food chains focus.

@tryingtobesogoodYes! I’m 11 stone down thanks to Wegovy. I’m absolutely overjoyed - the food noise has gone and I can easily make healthy food choices.

Can anyone suggest a calculator for working out weight loss and maintenance ? I tried 2 but got completely different results 1 was around 400 cals higher on weight loss so worried to use if inaccurate. Restarted 2.5 4 weeks ago after 2 months off but not lost anything so think need to track calories once worked out accurate weight loss cals

and

I got the same results on these. No calculator is going to be 100% accurate though. You might need to start in the middle and adjust.

If you use Nutracheck or MFP they will also help you calculate calories.

How does this work?

How do you mean @tryingtobesogood?

I just eat….. when I need to and how much I want until im full

when I wasn’t on MJ this meant I stayed at the same heavy weight.

However whilst taking MJ my metabolism / wants are different. So I’m actually eating less. I’m fuller quicker and don’t reach for the snacks as often. Nor do I drink alcohol as much. In fact sometimes I crave a fruit or veg or a boiled egg, so have that.

Over 5 weeks on 2.5 MJ I’ve lost 5kgs. Without feeling deprived. And without obsessing about food. Slowly does it.

been very interesting

will see how I go

but if I can lose 1kg pw without feeling deprived and without obsessing about food then this would be a good result and will see me at my GW in c15 weeks time. And in time for the summer holidays!!

following threads like this with interest as I wonder if food tracking will need to be more central to my weight maintenance plan when I get there. Ie if I want to come off MJ.

My Fitness Pal. It has grams and most UK supermarket foods. I like the forums too.
