Hello
I am starting WLI tomorrow and need to know people’s experiences.
however I do not wish to have peoples opinions on oh it’s bad for you etc.
I know the benefits outweigh the risks for me personally
many thanks

I've only just started but I feel great so far. I've got a lot to lose (around 10st), and I'm on the 2.5 jab. For the first time since I was about 12 years old, I'm not really thinking about food and I absolutely love it! I'm in a calorie deficit each day, but I still enjoy eating when I sit down for my meals. I worried that it would be like an over-full feeling, or similar to morning sickness, but it's more like a satisfied feeling.

Ah thank you for the reply,I have a lot of weight to lose so this is very much needed especially as I never feel full up and I can’t diet it’s just too overwhelming

Feel free to check in and let me know how it's going (I can do the same). I've always found dieting a challenge, usually all I can think about it food and what/when I'm going to eat next, it's been really nice having a few days without food on my mind constantly.

WeAllHaveWings · 24/03/2025 20:27

There are a couple of long running threads - one for those with >5st and another for those with >10st to lose.

You'll get lots of support with people at different stages going through the same thing as you.

For me it's been life changing! I only started on 1st Jan and already have lost a significant amount of weight. My first two months I was completely exhausted, but my body seems to slowly be getting used to the medication and this last couple of weeks my energy has returned enough for me to start getting back to my running - something I just didn't have the energy for in the first few weeks.

Now I'm back running, and finding my energy has picked up, I am starting to see how people can stay on mj long term. I don't have any other side effects so for me it's been brilliant.

I honestly can't tell.you how amazing it feels to start seeing my.old body returning! I actually can fit into a jacket I haven't worn for ages now and my clothes r feeling loose! My confidence is returning.

For me it truly has been a miracle drug.

My tup would be to hang in there, at about 11/12 weeks my body really has started getting used to this drug and the tiredness lifting means I now just feel great. I almost gave up.as the tiredness was destroying my exercise, but I'm glad now I didn't and j fully expect the new weight loss will actually help my running once I get fully back into it ..

Agree with pp. it’s been life changing. Didn’t realise how much I thought about food until I had no food noise. Been on it since beginning of January and down 35lbs. Still got another 50 or so to go. Virtually no side effects other than being cold and a bit of constipation. On my second 5mg pen and think I might just stay there for another few weeks

Just took my first dose 30 mins ago and I'm still upright 😁

Seriously though this is last chance saloon for me so I'm hoping for great things and judging by other comments I've read it could be life changing.

Good luck

@NannyOgg1341 well I’m 24 hours in and no side effects so far!
Fingers crossed it stays that way 😁

Ooh fingers crossed it stays that way. I'm on day 4 now and feeling great- no side effects. Someone was leaving at work today and there is whole platter of little cakes available; ordinarily I'd have helped myself to 2 or 3 during the leaving presentation and then nipped back for another 2 later in the afternoon. But I've found it really easy to just take one and really enjoy it, without feeling the overeating urge to go back for more.

lovemycbf · 27/03/2025 21:07

@NannyOgg1341 that’s great 👍🏻
I'm eating far smaller portions and still not feeling particularly hungry 😊
and no urge to snack!

Hope you're getting on okay OP.
I've just taken my first dose - feels like a last chance saloon for me. I've tried everything else and I have almost 10st to lose. I struggle with anxiety, so a bit stressed!
Fingers crossed for us all!

Well done!
I had a cheeky look on the scales this morning and I've lost 4.5lbs since Friday - thrilled with that!
I definitely feel the suppression wearing off, so just got to hold it together until my next dose on Thursday evening.
