I had my first dose yesterday, and interested to see what others are eating in a day. I have eaten MUCH less than usual, and barely touched tea and coffee (which I'd normally have multiple cups of)

Today I've had
Actmiel first thing , peppermint tea
Strawberry protein yogurt
Cold chargrilled chicken, carrot, cucumber , houmous.
1 go ahead slice
Chicken breast, stiffed with a tiny bit of cheese, wrapped in one rasher of bacon. brown rice, veg .

I weighed and tracked everything, and still coming in under 1000 cals. My tdee minus 500 is 1950!

Oh yeah I should say

SW: 83kg
CW: 69kg
GW: 60kg

Height 168cm

(Does anyone else feel that cm/kg are less fraught with emotional baggage than stones/pounds??)

AvantiAreShit · 18/03/2025 11:59

Like you OP I began yesterday. I had toast and a satsuma for breakfast today, as normal, but didn't feel hungry. I ate because of a feeling of indigestion and wanting to get it done so I didn't need to be thinking about hunger mid morning.

Nothing since and not hungry. I will eat lunch but not sure what yet. Had fish and salad for evening meal last night, which was delicious, and planning the same again. I also had two squares of chocolate last night but felt no need for more. I'm fine with that.

My problem tends to be snacking and portion control of otherwise healthy food, so if I can just keep to 3 reasonable meals a day I'll be happy with that and expect to lose.

JanglingJack · 18/03/2025 13:32

I've been on my 2.5 for 4 weeks, now, was due to start 5 tomorrow, but I've done it a day early as I can't stop eating! 1 boiled egg, 3 packets monster munch 😭 2 egg omelette and now I've defrosted some cooked roast beef to have with veg later, and I've eaten half of that!!

4kg lost in 4 weeks which I am very pleased with considering menopause and quitting smoking!

I suspect I'll be eggy burping and farting later!

JanglingJack · 18/03/2025 13:35

Sorry, 4 weeks..

SW 94.1kg
CW 90.08kg

F 5'8

Good luck all!

I have stayed on 5mg throughout so don’t have mega suppression anymore and trying to just use MJ as a tool but still flex my willpower muscle. I am almost at my goal weight now, so definitely don’t want to go up.

yesterday (day before Jab day and had a heavy weekend so double hungry)

B: coffee
L: 2 tiny slices of whole meal seeded sourdough toast with spread and half a tin of beans

Pre-gym class snack: Korean noodle soup pot thing with some smoked tofu added and a protein shake

D: kimchi tofu stir fry with brown rice

I didn’t get much protein in over the weekend so was craving it.

Today (jab day ❤️)
B: coffee
L: half a pot of Bol green protein soup with some more of the smoked tofu added and the same teeny slices of toast with spread
D: will be (green pea) pasta with Italian vegetables, pesto and fake chicken

If I am ravenous before my gym class I’ll have a raw fruit and nut naked bar or berries and yoghurt with a sprinkle of granola

Today I ate salmon, eggs and veggies for breakfast. Salmon and masses of salad for lunch with a small amount of light mayo and dinner will be pork patties with slaw and sweet potato fries.

I tend to flex my calories across my week, Sunday we went to an Indian buffet (where I ate vegetables and daal and whatever I wanted) so yesterday was a lighter day.

I have sensory difficulties around food, so protein shakes work for me.

MonkeyPuddle · 18/03/2025 16:53

Nothing for breakfast other than coffee and pint of squash
Lunch was salad with some chicken and a rice cake
had 2 fish fingers and a slice of bread with the kids for early tea
am working tonight on a night shift so I’ve got another chicken salad, some rice cakes and cheese spread.

3wDavid · 18/03/2025 18:57

I’m on 7.5mg and pretty much at target now. My food today looked like this:

  • almond milk latte
  • protein shake
  • turkey ham
  • omelette with roasted peppers and feta with green salad on the side
  • protein bar
  • chili con carne with cauliflower rice and a dollop of greek yog
  • I’ll probably have a protein yog for pudding later too
I aim for around 1400 cal, about 70 g of protein and 2-3 l of water per day
Dollydaydream100 · 18/03/2025 19:16

Two skinless chicken legs (200 cals)
half a banana (50)
asda bakery choc chip cookie (200)
salmon fillet, 3 baby potatoes and a corn on the cob (about 400)

Not enough! On week 9 of last 5mg dose and have lost 22lbs.

TragicMuse · 18/03/2025 19:38

I’m on week 3 of 2.5mg

Today I’ve had:

a protein smoothie - I’m experimenting with savoury ones rather than vommy sweet ones! This one had avocado, broccoli, protein powder, cottage cheese, egg white, lime juice, some milk, some water.
Broccoli salad with a tin of tuna
Cauliflower and Macaroni cheese

2 cups of tea, 2 coffees, 720ml of water
and half a packet of seaweed rice cake snacks.

My daily calorie allowance is 1482 and at the moment I have 255 left. I may or may not use them.

PurpleCoo · 18/03/2025 22:03

Breakfast - crunchy nut cornflakes with almond milk
Lunch - homemade lentil and red pepper chilli (no rice, but a little bit of grated cheese on top)
Dinner - Satay udon noodles (made with half a beef frying steak, veggies and tossed in an egg as was a bit low on calories today)

Drinks - loads of squash and decaf black coffee again

I have several hundred calories left over, and had planned to have a bagel as an evening snack, but I am completely full up from dinner. Managed to more or less get my 5 a day in, plus lots of protein with the steak, beans and lentils.

I am amazed how satisfied I am with small portions of meat.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 19/03/2025 04:10

B - protein yogurt, strawbs, grapes
L - chicken, veg sticks , houmous
25g nuts
D - grilled chicken breast (large) 4 veg steamed, wild brown rice.
2.5 ltres water, 1 peppermint tea, 1 normal tea, 1 coffee, one lucozade sport.
Still not many cals, 1050.,

SharpOpalNewt · 19/03/2025 05:17

An almond croissant, flat white, salmon sashimi with seaweed/edamame salad, miso soup (with gyoza and rice noodles, lentil bolognase pasta and a pear. About 1400 calories, but am trying to get on without tracking this week.

RunningScaredStiff · 19/03/2025 08:22

Ok, so I’m not on WLi so I shouldn’t be lurking here, but I read this forum because it’s my job to be informed about women and what we are told.

I fully support people losing weight on WLi but I’m quite shocked at what some of you are eating. That makes me think that you’ve been given these injections, but no nutrition and exercise support to back it up? If not, why not? If you haven’t I think you need to go and demand it because surely that massive a change in your system needs serious nutritional support.

Do they encourage WLi along with a Slimming group as the latter would support healthy choices and nutrition.

So, for example. I’ve recently lost 2 stone with a household name slimming club. This is what I ate yesterday, a usual day, and I’m still losing weight;

Porridge with skim milk, blueberries and a banana
3 coffees with low fat milk

Chicken with lettuce, toms, roast peppers, kimchi, roast sweet potato
Miso soup
lentil crisps
cherries

snack: skyr and blueberries

lentil stew with leeks, carrots, garlic and a bit of chorizo
Strawberries covered in 10g melted dark chocolate

Not 100% healthy but I’m using up my unhealthy bits

My point is, you’ve got to eat. It seems to me they want people to lose weight, and they are happily handing out the injections, but they aren’t giving some people the support re fuelling their body.

You can eat yourself slim. You just need to swap things out for healthier items. I’m absolutely not saying don’t use the WLI, I’m just shocked at what some of you are eating when your body is going through such upheaval.
