This is our 8th month - gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly - some are at goal - and working out maintenance - some nearing it and some still have weight they want to lose - but ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

Hi everyone, managed to lose the thread and then thought it’d all gone very quiet 😅 reading all your updates and sorry that things feeling tough for some people 💐 interesting thoughts about MJ affecting mood also.
I've had a second week on 15mg, no dramatic ‘I can’t eat’, munching away as usual but keeping within my low calories. I’ve got into the next stone bracket down so now 9:13 which I’ve not seen for a few decades😱 being short, my bmi is still 27.1 but am really pleased. Only a pound a week coming off so it’ll take quite some time to get to goal.
i always get a £10 discount for the family chemist @Blondeshavemorefun so my 15mg was £168.99, just ordered yesterday. They’d sent me the discount code TFC10 but I otherwise find it in the comparison site. I’ve decided to stick with them for this final bit to avoid hassles with different pharmacies as my bmi goes down although I’ve been round most of them since august.

Hello everyone. Just spent ages catching up on posts. I am still on holiday in Argentina which is amazing. Yesterday we flew from the glaciers in Patagonia to the tropical climate where the huge waterfalls are. Reducing jabs so now down to 10mg. Guess what..for the first time i am suffering sulphur burps. The day before we flew I ate too much compared to normal life..toast for breakfast with cheese, fruit salad. Madeira cake as a snack on our daytrip then a big lamb meal in the evening..huge meat eaters over here with a cream dessert and glass of wine. So far so good. Next day before we flew I had cheese with toast again plus croissant. By 1 pm I felt as sick as can be just as we were boarding the plane then threw up once in the air..made itcto the bathroom. Felt terrible the rest of the day and went to bed. My two friends had burgers for lunch before flying then went out for a meal last night..I stayed in bed. This morning off for breakfast..I had one slice of toast. Lunch was half a yoghurt! Goodness knows what's going on..I jabbed 10mg last Friday. Think I am so used to eating around 1000 cals I just couldn't take it. Still no hunger either. Anyone else has this? I was a gibbering wreck yesterday but it was OK as it was a day of travel. Today it's a chill day by the pool so I will be fine by tomorrow. Best wishes to everyone ❤️

Well done Poemsfortea. That’s a fabulous achievement. 💐

Ive also reversed mine and at my BP appt in April they’ve said I’ll probably be coming off my medication. But even if I don’t make it I’m okay with that, I’m down to just 5mg of my medication daily and it’s already a win win situation.

Thanks, I actually cried on my site visit as I have achieved what I set out to do last August. Must have looked a right knobber to my colleague but he was supportive 🤣
It wasn't all good news as Potassium too high so 3 missed calls from surgery and urgent re-test booked however I was in Hampshire so still need to sort it.
My bp medication was halved from 10mg to 5mg and bp is in normal range now (first time in my life!) I do wonder if the potassium is linked to the bp medication having done some reading up.
We have lots in common!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/03/2025 17:09

Bless you @Azuresky68. Being sick on plane not good or easy. I had a few bouts as had hg and went on holiday when 12w preg. Was so sick on both flights

not easy when a queue for loos and was given sick bags and cabin told why I was being sick - I got clapped

@Slimhopes glad you found us. That’s why I did link on old thread and said to all post on here so anyone should find us easily

I don’t want to bounce too much like you as don’t want to be cut off for maintenance but paying £175 is madness

@PoemsForTea that is absolutely amazing. Really happy for you!

Interesting about flat mood. I noticed during my weeks of 'freedom' that I felt kind of stronger and more up for things. Now I'm back on 10mg wow the suppression is strong - feels weird.

FlappingMadly · 18/03/2025 17:33

You know I like a little stockpile 😂
Messaged medexpress late yesterday and the pen arrived today! Took me by surprise.

FurForksSake · 18/03/2025 17:39

Hello! I’ve been on since August and have lost a small bale of hay, still got around 20lbs to go which will take me to Irish setter.

morbidcuriosity · 18/03/2025 17:56

@Blondeshavemorefundid you go with IQ in the end? .

Lovely to hear from you @Azuresky68 and glad you're having a good time in between the sickness bouts!

I once had dysentery on a plane, it wasn't fun. I can't believe @Blondeshavemorefun went on a plane with HG!

Hello there 🙂 Wont lie, I'm coveting the penis, myself!

FlappingMadly · 18/03/2025 19:52

I once worked on a farm in school.holiday. Well I say worked but was probably pretty useless. A bale of hay is pretty hefty and am surprised a setter is heavier. I shall test it out tomorrow. No setter shall be harmed in this experiment.

FlappingMadly · 18/03/2025 19:56

I'm between an elephant heart and bale of hay. I'm hoping to bypass a penis and land straight on a gold bar.

Elephant penis will be brilliant, I need to work out when I’ll hit that to celebrate the phallic fabulousness.

Katkins17 · 18/03/2025 20:25

I’ve been 3lbs off target weight for a month….THE FRUSTRATION !!! However….the 5 stone lost and size 12-14 trousers reminds me to think ‘so f#cking what…. ‘ I’ll get there and this time last year I was not even managing to walk up the stairs without heavy breathing and heart palpitations!!!!

Azuresky68 · 18/03/2025 20:35

@Blondeshavemorefun thanks Blondes....think I am over it now..must because I ate too much over 24 hour period. Now fasted for around 20 hours.

Azuresky68 · 18/03/2025 20:37

@Katkins17keep on keeping on! Know how you feel though. Got to a pound off top of my healthy BMI but last half stone was so hard. On holiday now so can't get weighed

Azuresky68 · 18/03/2025 20:39

@weaselyeyes thank you. Think I am over it now. Am sure it was because I ate too much over 24 hours

@Katkins17 oh that’s hard. 4w of sts but 5s is amazing. Hope to join you there this week …….

I wonder if what you (and others) have experienced is the WLI version of what bariatric surgery patients for eg call dumping syndrome.

I hope you’re feeling better now.

Timetofindme · 18/03/2025 21:21

@Azuresky68 glad you're feeling better. I wonder if it's in part due to the 'big lamb meal'. My issues seem to have arisen after meat heavy meals (not chicken/ turkey). Wondering if its because it can be harder / slower to digest and with already slower digestion it becomes problematic. I've actually bought some digestive enzyme to take if I'm eating red meat now/ later in the evening on my higher suppression days. May not actually do anything but I feel like it does even if it's just a placebo 😂
