My amazing auggies ladies 💖 - another thread and heading for 6mths in !!!

Be proud of us all.

We conquered our first Christmas and many of us sts or lost. Which is a first.

Those who gained it was 1-2lbs (minus the lady who ate her family and gained 18lbs) 😂😂 and the gain has come off

So to a new 2025 - some are getting near their goal and thinking about maintenance

Some still have a way to go to get to their happy weight

Some are on the highest dose of 15

Some are 5 and below

Totally get the jeans dilemma. I live in jeans and have around 20 pairs (yes, excessive I know). Because I love them so much I've been storing my bigger jeans away 'just in case' but have decided to donate them all today.

I'm now officially in size 10 jeans - okay, so they're vanity sized M&S size 10 jeans, but I'll still take that as a huge win!

What’s vanity sizes mean ?

Jeans are the bain of my life at the moment!!

All my size 20 don't fit as they are massive so I've donated them, size 18 are too baggy and slip down but size 16 is too snug which makes me feel fat and deflated again 🤦‍♀️

And I'm sure I've lost 2 pairs of leggings, probably dh putting them away but just not in my wardrobe!

M&S make their sizes bigger so you think you are slimmer. I am size 8 now in M&S but really a 10! I have been everything from size 8 to 18

So had a bit of a mare at the weekend. So bit of context only person that knows I’m on Mounjaro is DH and more recently a close friend as they publicly shared their journey so I shared privately. I’m not ashamed and would never lie if asked directly. Anyway I’ve a sister, whom I’m very close with but let’s just say they’re competitive and do not throw out a compliment easily! It’s very plain to see that my body shape has changed massively and where everyone else is very complimentary, her last comment was she hadn’t noticed. Anyway fast forward to the weekend and she asked me straight out at the dinner table in front of half a dozen family members whether I was taking mounjaro………I couldn’t lie so I said yes………cue a million awkward questions from family members and my sister’s comment of I knew it, I knew you were cheating and that I’m not on an even playing fields……..I mean I know I’m not……..I was 5 stone heavier than her at the start and still over a stone away from her current weight…….she asked about mounjaro and her using it but realistically she’s about 8/9lbs away from healthy weight so I think she thinks it’s a magic jag 🙈🙈🙈

I had a really upsetting conversation last night with one of my grown up DD's about things that happened 20 years ago. Not many people I would share it with but I did with 2 close friends and my other half, who I will refer to as the BF. I was still very upset, angry and frustrated this morning. I sat in the car park of a retail park, crying with hurt and frustration talking to the BF about the situation and he was super supportive and sensitive about it. I will be OK..just needed to get it out there. Now in M&S cafe treating myself to a large latte. NSV I resisted a tempting raspberry and chocolate granola bar..looked soooo nice. No more emotional eating to stuff the feelings down. I took a photo to show you the temptation..but MN wouldn't let me post the photo 🤔

Oh. I need to go there then 😂

Lack of sleep often makes me feel hungry and crave carbs. Just jabbed 11 mg. Still not hungry but partly because I am upset. I overstayed on a car park in retail park because my mind was elsewhere so will probably get a big fine. The irony is I was trawling round B&M and Poundland!

Regarding jeans why not treat yourself to a new pair from Primarni or Matalan and sod the size on the label. Old jeans 👖 can be binned or kept as a target to get into one day . Do you still like the style?

@MrsHerbs79. Maybe your sister was comfortable in her role as slim sister and now she feels threatened instead of being thrilled for you...who knows what goes on in people's minds. Keep on going and ignore it. Very mean behaviour on her part though 😕

The Size 16 I ordered don’t sodding fit me

Hi all, hope today has been a good/better day for everyone. Well I was doing great, hit target, was coming down dosage and eating more on purpose.😆. Then got the lurgy. So after weeks of being ill I've lost too much weight and look gaunt. So instead of being able to finish this pen as normal i need to check with you lovelies.. am I right thinking it would be 0.4 out of a 7.5 to get 5?! My brain is still mush so thought I'd check with people who have more than 1 brain cell working.
And BTW jean sizes are mad... I now have jeans that fit in sizes 8 - 16 🤦‍♀️

@AuntieDote thanks for the advice and info about style me happy..I had a look but there are a few different pages with the same name...can you advise which is the right one please?

Well done on the loss @AuntieDote I think setting smaller goals is better anyway. Also you may get to there and not want to lose the extra so best to take it a step at a time!

@NippyNinjaCrab I also look homeless 90% of the time 😂 kids always look quite shocked if I have anything other than leggings on! Enjoy your time with DH!

@AuntieDote I put loads on vinted and used the balance to pay for new things on there. Helped with the frustration of not making loads and also brought much cheaper than in shops if that makes sense.

I've had a really lazy day today. Still don't feel 100% so just mooched about and lay in bed most of the day. Hoping this lurgy buggers off soon! Bet I won't sleep tonight as I've been dozing today!

This is the lady's website for analysis if anyone is interested, it's quite an expensive 'treat' but I did find it worthwhile - it's not stopped me living in leggings, sweatshirt and knock off uggs for the vast majority of my life, but it has helped me pull together one or two outfits that I look and feel a bit better in for those rare occasions I need to be a bit more dressed up. Which I now need to replace in smaller sizes - nicer problems to have I guess!

@MrsHerbs79 that's annoying! Definitely sounds like she likes being the slim sister. It's clearly about her and her issues, so don't let her make you feel any less proud of your progress and don't let it derail you from what you're trying (and already succeeding) to achieve. I got asked at a Christmas get together, 'how have you done it, is it the jabs?' and when I said yes two other people were like 'oh we're doing it too'. Except those people were still merrily knocking back the wine, a massive plate of buffet and a load of desert - which may have been a one off treat maybe, but from what they were saying doesn't sound like they've changed their eating much at all. So clearly some people do think you just jab yourself, carry on as normal and the weight magics itself away. Best just to leave people to it and let them think whatever they're going to think - not always easy I know.

I hate clothes- I have never known what to wear, but once I hit about 45 I lost all hope tbh!!

Eugh @Blondeshavemorefun frustrating!! They'll fit soon!! And like others have said, sizing is so wild even in the same shop the same size will be so different. Keep your chin up!

@owlyboo my stepson and his GF came in one day and we were just heading out together, I had made a wee bit of an effort lol and GF was like.. wow.. you look.. different! Lovely. Haha. Xxx

@PoemsForTea I never look put together or polished, I honestly don't know how some women manage to look effortlessly stylish and make up beautifully done! I've always got muddy paws somewhere or damnation hair or shite bags in my pockets of everything 😂 xx

Get yourself to Next. I'm definitely in a 16 jeans and shorts from there now (one pair of jeans is already a bit loose too).

I know their vanity sizing is ridiculous but I don't care. This time last year I was verging on a size 22.

Aww sorry about the jeans @Blondeshavemorefun I've found i have to try everything on now. It was easier in a way being bigger...could only shop in Yours and I knew my size because everything was shapeless!! I'm definitely having fun trying new things. I've found I'm making more of an effort all round now. I love putting outfits together and I wear make up every day now when I hadn't worn it for years. I feel like a new woman 😉
