Can you get weight loss injections if you're not very overweight?

Just wonder how it works. I'm a stone heavier than I'd like to be, but still within the normal weight BMI. I've tried diets but nothing seems to shift things now I'm over 50.

It's be good to be able to have some help and would love to try the injections. Any advice?

BodySlims is starting its last course next Wednesday, it’s 10 weeks and you will lose the weight but will have to walk every day. It’s brilliant, mentally and physically. Good luck x

@NewYearStillFat I don't think it's the same. Just had a look at the Zoe website and it seems that you do various at-home tests at the start and get a diet recommendation based on the results. With Limbo, there's no testing. You just stick the blood glucose sensor on your arm and get started straight away. There's loads of advice and help and an app to chat with other members and share tips and recipes.

I know people who lied and got it from dodgy online sellers. They look awful...gone from size 8/10 to 4 and they've had terrible side effects.

I wouldn't recommend it. I lost a stone in 3 weeks and kept it off on the Fast800 and 5:2.

What side effects?

Yes you can do this. I bought some online- didn't have to submit photos. Took the lowest dose every 10 days for a month and dropped the 10lbs I wanted to. I had been on a strict diet and weight training regime from Jan- July and just felt so stuck and deflated, I'm in my late 40s, I never had an intention to be skinny or lose a lot.

Ironically I usually eat a decent diet but on the injections I felt low level nausea the whole time and I only felt like eating beige food, so thats as actually not great. As soon as I came off I went back to lots of veggies etc. The best surprise was it totally took away my desire for alcohol which has not returned.

Now several months later I feel I have "reset" my weight has maintained, I don't really have cravings and it feels a lot easier to have a handle of things, who knows if this will stick long term.

I fully appreciate it is stupid but I grew up in the 90s where weight loss advice was Diet Coke, cigarettes and speed or taking lots of Sudafed to suppress appetite and just not eating, or strange treatments that said they would suck all your fat in to your poo. Given how many people are now successfully and safely using the weight loss drugs of such hugely varying doses and over the long term, it felt an ok risk for me.
