I've been on it 4 months,maybe a bit more
Lost 3 and a half stone
But I'm having to use a lot of willpower,to not binge .
The binge urge is still strong.
I'm on 7.5 ,and next week go up to 10 ..
Maybe 7.5 hasn't worked to good for me
I don't know ,it almost feels like it's not working anymore

How is everyone doing

I’m on ten, second jab was yesterday, no issues or side effects.

Had my first dose of 10 on Thurs. No side effects and suppression, I could cry. Going to keep at it and hope that 12.5 will be different. Don't want to give up as I have lost 2.5 stone.

I'm actually considering going back down to 5 and remaining there. 5 worked really well for me. I'm wondering if there's any point in paying more for a higher dose which doesn't appear to be working as well.

I think as you've realised @Newyearpug, you have already done amazingly having lost 3.5 stone since September. I never look at the what I'm eating thread as I'm sure I'd find it very triggering. 1600 calories would, sadly, be too much for me as I'm very short. But for most people that would be a deficit intake I'm sure.

I think it's easy to become swept up with how other people are doing. But you are doing incredibly well.

Have you joined the threads for those that started in September? I find my month's threads so useful. And good to hear from a wide range of people, with varying experiences who started around the same time as you.

I'm on 7.5 and struggling a bit with suppression. But I have lost 3 lbs this last week but I think that's as a result of Christmas and staying in 5mg for an extra month. I've only lost just over 1 stone overall so I'm not losing fast either

So I'm on my second week of 10 mg
And it's working well now ,I obviously made a mistake staying on 7.5 for 2 months.
I feel I'm getting in a routine with meals ,and seem to be naturally around 1200 calories a day now , often only eating half a meal ,and listening to my ques when I'm full ,and stopping,rather than ploughing on and eating it .
If things stay the same ,this will be the time I nail the weight loss for good

Luckily that's my only current side effect.

Yes, wondering about this too.

Your body is now completely tolerant. It will feel like you didn’t inject at all. You can’t take less and think it will habe a bigger impact, it doesn’t work like that, no drug does.

I started in October and lost 1.5 stone but haven't felt suppression on 7.5 at alll. I have gone up a dose every month and am really hoping that 10 mg works for me as I haven't lost since well before Xmas. I still have food noise, just less of an appetite. Still want to snack though

I felt 5mg didn't work for me but wow 7.5mg takes me back to the 2.5mg feeling when I first started. However my friend has found 7.5mg to be a waste of time. I suppose we are clearly all different

You are doing brilliantly. You're still on the low doses at the moment which you need to go through to allow your body to get used to,it. I'm now on 15mg for the last four months and it's working well. I've lost 7 stone since last may. I don't calorie count, I just eat when I'm hungry and eat enough to feel full, then stop. It's been amazing.

The lower doses wiped me out completely for a day or so after the injection and I had some gastric side effects. Now I have few/rare side effects and am no more exhausted than most middle aged women!

Just keep at it and go up to the next dose each month maybe? And be kind to yourself. It's a marathon, not a sprint ans we are all human and will have good and bad days food wise - that's normal.

Forgot to add, the biggest impact with me both suppression and side effects wise was 2.5-5 mg. After that it was more maintaining the status quo.

Sounds like you need to keep moving up. There's a reason they make 15mg - some people need it.

I'm currently paying £219 for 10 mg pen
And they offered me to go up to 12 mg pen this week ,but the cost was £300.
I just couldn't justify the extra expense
Plus I've read that eventually it stops working so to go up the doses as slowly as possible as eventually we will be on the top dose and that will stop working too

But what happens if you can afford a 15 mg pen or it stops working.
I predict it was cost over £400 for one at the rate I'm paying

I use the Family Chemist although I am now on 10mg (I took 15mg in the past but am at goal now so tapering down.

They charge £174 for 12.5 and 15mg and that's not dependent on getting any codes used / offers etc You need to buy needles and swabs separately the first time you order which is probably £10.

Mounjaro is pretty expensive but you spend less on food, can get back into old clothes etc and a healthy weight is important. are you using the bonus dose in each pen to make it a bit cheaper?

I'm ok with paying £219 for 10 mg ,as I've never had any problems with the supplier,they include everything I need in that price and don't send it without checking I want a new pen ,..I've been happy up to now.

Yes but there is nothing stopping people from shopping around each time, and making use of introductory offers

What do you need? Every Supplier sends needles, wipes and a sharps bin if required. What else are they giving you thsts worth so much?
