Suppliers that don't inform GP

Hi there does anyone know which suppliers don't inform your GP? Then I am going to scour the discount codes thread

Many Thanks

I believe they all inform your GP, why don’t you want them to?

unsync · 01/01/2025 18:54

You should have it on your record. It is a POM, if anything happens to you, in an emergency situation, medics should be aware of what drugs are in your system.

LostGhost · 01/01/2025 19:10

Why don't you want them to inform your GP? It's good for them to have that information on file.

My GP have never once contacted me about it once they were informed.

Chocbuttonsandredwine · 01/01/2025 19:10

Health express

ForeverSkys · 01/01/2025 19:15

Cloud gave me a letter to email my GP and they were happy with me being on MJ. Better they know as if any problems arise it's on my file

PotteringAlonggotkickedoutandhadtoreregister · 01/01/2025 19:17

Why on earth wouldn’t you want your GP to know? In case of a medical emergency, what will you gain by no one realising you’re injecting yourself with drugs on a daily basis? Surely you would only get them from a supplier that does inform your GP?

Greyrockin · 01/01/2025 19:20

Are you going to lie to try and obtain weight-loss injections?

Mutcgy · 01/01/2025 19:21

Numan gave me the option and I declined.

Luminousalumnus · 01/01/2025 19:23

UK Meds and Mayfair weight loss definitely don't. I use them for this very reason.

Just to contradict this.. sorry. But in and emergency paramedics cannot access your GP records. They don't have access. Hospitals also can, sometimes, but not quickly. It is not joined up system at all, so if your GP needs to know you can tell him at any stage. If anyone else wants to know in an emergency, they can't, whether or not you have told the GP.

voy don’t it’s why I chose them

Slimmer2025 · 01/01/2025 19:55

Sorry I don't understand? There is a whole thread giving codes and she said she was going to look for one? I was trying to be helpful?

Is this UK wide? Whete I am, our GP records and hospital records are accessible and joined up.

Its the thread police on duty.

TheoryMad · 01/01/2025 20:08

Voy are very discrete, no GP checks/or letters sent or videos with weight on etc. We can’t post codes on here but if you go to the end of the codes thread, my voy one is there.

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 01/01/2025 20:11

Click2pharmacy allow you to decide.

If codes were allowed on every thread the injection board would be unreadable.

It would just be constant spamming, so they are confined to one thread and it's against posting rules to share them anywhere else.

LookPataCake · 01/01/2025 20:16

It’s perfectly legal and above board to use a private pharmacist or a private doctor. Ignore the rude posters OP.

Daily basis injections? This doesn't apply to Mounjaro.

Hhhmmmm. I have a few friends on this and nearly all of them have recieved letters or a phone call from the hospital noting they have been advised that they are on weight loss injections. If you are on mounjaro I belive that you can't have normal ameatsheic so the hospital need to be aware which is why they do it. Has no one else had similar? I just assumed it was the same for everyone. Not having it on your records is stupid and dangerous imo, especially if it's out of embarrassment

DiamondGoldandSilver · 01/01/2025 20:29

Many people have multiple GPs- I use a mix of private online and when I need to see someone in person I use my NHS GP. The OP’s question seems fine to me as even if my NHS GP would be notified, I don’t think the private one would.

Imisschocolate17 · 01/01/2025 20:32

I don't think many of them actually do - they take the details of your doctors surgery and provide you with a letter that you can choose to share, I'm not convinced they send them out directly. Also I doubt they verify you have given them the correct GP details either

BUT... there should be no reason not to have it on your record and shared with your GP, the more accurate your records are the better

Its not fine if it is code for "I have contraindications that mean I shouldn't be prescribed these highly fommetcoally promoted drugs but I'm looking for companies who will let me bypass them"
