Process to stop taking MJ?

ive been on MJ since August

started at 2.5g and am up to 10g now.
four months in and….

I’ve only lost 5-7lbs
in total
in 4 months at over £500 cost! The weight loss has fluctuated but been around 1-2lbs off and then back on again, no inch loss although I do look a bit thinner esp face and back fat.

just finished my 4th week of 10mg and honestly don’t see the point of carrying on.

I’ve had awful sulphur burps, and some horrible diorrhea in the first 2 months or so

I am so gutted as kept hoping I would love as the dosage went up after reading it takes a while for boys to adjust to it - but it just hasn’t happened :(

I’m type 2 diabetic, on no meds so was hoping this would help to control and help control the blood sugars - which are generally stable.

In the same time a friend has lost over 2 stone doing MJ and another friend has lost around 3 stone with changing her eating and joining gym for last 6 months.

I am currently almost 50, weigh around 13.5 stone, size 18 and wanted to get down to around 10.5 stone and a size 12.

My sleep and and water intake isn’t great and I’m peri menopausal.

is it worth carrying on or can I just stop? I have changed my eating habits a lot and cut out junk and a lot of carbs too

thanks for any feedback

Sorry it was 1200 calories not 1600 👍🏽

I’ll get on with tracking and exercise - my steps have been down in the colder weather so need to get back up to 10k steps consistently.

thank you all for the reality check!

As much as that’s great you’re eating healthy but you aren’t eating 1200 calories, you’re eating enough to maintain 13.5 stone. Which is likely over 2000, likely 2400, depending on on height.

you need to track your calories, inc everything you drink and eat, over a course of a week and then average it per day.

@MooFroo

can you tell me what you mean by 45 clicks? My pen you just put it in and push the button down there are no clicks!

When you wind the pen to get to the number 1 before injecting, it clicks as you turn it.
To get a full dose you will turn it 60 clicks. You can calculate smaller doses by counting fewer clicks.

Yup you’re right - I’ve been living by your user name @Dietingfool !

I think I’ve just been comparing my eating changes to my old bad diet and habits and thinking I’ve done so much better so should have lost loads!

but like you say I’m just maintaining existing weight and at least not adding to it thankfully.

I’ll stick with the MJ and track - at the worst time of the year 🤣🤣

thanks so much everyone!

Just to add, in the three weeks I have been on MJ, I have found that I simply can't eat anything like 1200 calories if I want to lose weight. I am having to be very careful with my diet to lose even a couple of pounds a week, so as others have said, you prob need to be tracking what you are eating more carefully. It is so helpful at reducing food noise, but it's not a silver bullet for weight loss if you maintain old habits in my experience so far. People are mistaken when they say it's the easy way to diet, but I am finding it absolutely makes it easier to resist the treats!

Likewise, I'm struggling to lose half a pound a week on less than 1000 cals. I am probably just above a coma patient tho exercise wise. I hoovered today and took the dog out for a total of 2011 steps. It's usually under 500. Off work for three weeks now and so it's unlikely to get any better. I'm going to try and do an exercise video everyday though.
