What do you do with old clothes?

I've been on Mounjaro since April and lost 4 1/2 stone from a starting weight of 20 stone. I'm so pleased as I've never managed to do this before and never thought I'd be able to after being obese all my life (now late 40's). It has changed my life.
But I'm sorting some clothes now and I have a lot that doesn't fit me anymore but I don't think I can bring myself to get rid of them. Part of me feels I should as otherwise I'm saying to myself I'm not going to stick with this but as I've never been in this situation before I'm so worried I will just pile the weight back on and then have the cost of buying new clothes again!
So far I've only brought myself one new pair of jeans as I don't want to spend loads while I still have weight to loose and I'm managing with belts and the few items in my wardrobe that were too small as I always hoped I would fit back into them. I have a pair of jeans I loved and haven't worn since I got pregnant with my eldest who's now 22 and I can almost fit them! So as you can see I'm a bit of a hoarder 😂
So what are you all doing about clothes that are now too big?

Where do you get that truth from? It's such a new drug here in the UK that there can't possibly be tons of people you know that's happened to. Why wouldn't they just go back on it for a while?

It seems there are so many people who just want it to fail for overweight people.

I've actually been on mounjaro myself and come off it recently, so please don't make so many assumptions. I think it's an excellent drug.

These drugs have been around since about 2012 in one form or another, and obviously, when people come off it, it no longer has the effect, they regain their appetite, and there is a reasonable chance they will gain weight. Not everyone, depending on lifestyle changes they've managed to make - but a lot of people do. I've been on and off it twice and it happened to me.

Of course there's no problem going back on it for a while, and I don't see an issue with using it intermittently (again there haven't been studies really, but if that's how people choose to use it, that's fine - it's probably how I'll use it, unless some study comes out saying that it's harmful).

This thread is simply about whether to keep hold of clothes that are too big. Personally I would still recommend OP keeps her old clothes because if you do come off it and regain weight, you want something to wear. I've kept a few of my old clothes.

I’ve got rid of my larger sized clothes, via Vinted, charity shop or tip. I’m not allowing the thought that I might gain weight to enter my head. This is my weight now and I want clothes in my wardrobe that fit.

Alter stuff that can be altered.

Sell the good stuff.

Store anything sentimental or loved and charity shop the rest.

Use vacuum bags to minimise space.

I am earlier in my journey then you but at a stone and a half down I have gone from a 22 to a 20. I have got rid of the vast majority of my 22 clothes either on vinted or in the clothes bank if a bit more battered. I have only kept a couple of over sized hoodies for bumbing round the house in but even those are getting a bit big so may get rid of those soon.

My dp thinks there must be a fit guy working at the charity shop as I've been so many times over the last few months.
I'm getting rid when anything gets too big as I don't ever want to be that size again.
