Ok. I'm ready to start. Should I buy
Ozempic, mounjaro or wegovy and does anyone have a recommendation of where to buy from or a code.

I'm small just over 5ft and 16 stone. So a lot to lose.

Go to your doctor, if they won’t prescribe it, for the love of god don’t use it.

Bigredcombine · 01/12/2024 04:34

@Slawit eh? Why?

Bigredcombine · 01/12/2024 04:40

OP - read up. Do your research.
I've just come off it. Best thing I've done for myself.
Some people are side effects free but I really suffered with exhaustion early on and then some serious diarrhoea later on which was why I stopped as I'd have enough. But it was great. Lost the weight I wanted to (nearly).

Make sure you go to a reputable registered pharmacy. You can check their registration number that should be on their website.

You need to ensure you tell the truth on the form about any health conditions.

I have only done MJ. So can’t recommend which is for you. I would also suggest you make sure that you eat a high fibre and high fibre diet.

I have linked a comparison site below. I wouldn’t recommend providers who do affiliate codes. They tend to have a history of poor delivery. But on a personal level I am not entirely sure I am comfortable with that business model.

I would say you need to really research the medications. The risks, the potential side effects etc so you are making an informed decision.

Should I buy Ozempic, mounjaro or wegovy

I'd suggest to read up on all three and decide based on what you've understood. Most people here are going for Mounjaro for their reasons so it would better if you also make that decision yourself for informed reasons.

and does anyone have a recommendation of where to buy from

These websites provide a list of registered providers of all of the WL meds. Discounted price and full price. Don't go with unregistered or unlicenced people elsewhere.

or a code.

There's a specific thread for discount codes on this board. Check out the thread (search discount code thread although i think it's mainly for mounjaro. I hid it so can't find it to link for you) and pick one from the provider you choose.

Go to your doctor, if they won’t prescribe it, for the love of god don’t use it.

GPs can only prescribe for those with specific other conditions along with obesity, so you're unlikely to get it that way.
It is perfectly fine to pay for it yourself and purchase it from a legitimate prescribing pharmacy, providing you meet the conditions required. They will require you to complete a consultation questionnaire and send photos.
As suggested before, you can check them out from the monj.co.uk website. There is a link for each one to their GPHC record.

Ozempic and Wegovy are the same medication, branded differently as Ozempic is for diabetics only in the UK whereas Wegovy is available via private prescription.

Any of the online providers should have detailed information on their websites about each medication and how they work. Big names like Boots, Superdrug, Asda all do, certainly.

I am on Mounjaro since August. I based my decision on the fact that it was promising the biggest weight loss -I know, not the wisest thing to do but when you have so much to loose and the finances are so tight that you barely can afford it, it seemed like the best option at the time. I don't regret my decision, currently on 5mg (lucky to have enough suppression) and the weight keeps on going down. I didn't have side effects that other people usually mention hence I am sticking to it. I originally started with Zava but then moved to Medexpress because of the price and a discount code they offered. The plan was to keep on switching to make the most of the offers but Medexpress does price match (for now) so I am sticking with them at least for now. So to summarise, my decision was purely financial 🙃. Simply cannot afford to be on it for a very long time yet I have plenty to loose.

https://onlinedoctor.asda.com/uk/wegovy-vs-mounjaro-vs-ozempic.html

There is a good starter comparison on the Asda site - not recommending Asda as I don't use them but the comparison is quite good. Once you read that it will prompt you to ask / research more specific questions.

And ignore the first post on the thread, unless they come back with some solid information on their reservations about buying from a registered pharmacy who are qualified to prescribe, they just sound like someone uneducated on the facts around WLIs.
