Oh god @Bellablahhole I was dreading my fear of never feeling the same suppression again, I hope it comes back for you.
the suppression is the best bit, Iโ€™m able to take the time to properly think and then make good choices rather than just bulldozing in with a few bags of crisps before I find something โ€˜properโ€™ to eat, which usually just results in me snacking on things like sausage rolls and biscuits and then not bothering with anything substantial but leaves me in the same hungry position an hour later.

Iโ€™m also absolutely freezing, I just canโ€™t warm up!

Bellablahhole · 12/11/2024 19:21

@ TheChosenTwo Thank you! The 2.5mg dose was so good to me, but I was ready to go up. I'm hoping it's just a blip along the road on this long journey. We shall see.

I experienced that freezing feeling too, but even that has disappeared!

Only thing Iโ€™ve noticed through the whole time of being on mj is that I am FUCKING FREEZING! Which makes a change because I am always whinging about how hot and sweaty I am ๐Ÿซก

I met a friend for coffee today and had to sit with my coat over my lap like a little old lady. It wasn't cold in there but I was f@@**%% freezing ๐Ÿฅถ

I'm sitting on the sofa fully clothed with my fluffy dressing gown on and the heating ๐Ÿฅด needless to say I've had no menopausal hot sweats!!!

Major NSV today folks! I fancied something sweet and opted for the virtuous 'just one small square of dark chocolate', as opposed to gorging on a family-sized bar of Dairy Milk. Honestly used to hate people who could do that! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Mrsmajeeka · 12/11/2024 20:08

Itโ€™s so motivating reading everyoneโ€™s progress. Iโ€™ve just hit a stone off todayโญ๏ธ, thatโ€™s in 1 day short of 5 weeks. Iโ€™m still on 2.5ml.

Mrsmajeeka · 12/11/2024 20:10

My next target is only 3lb off as that takes me out of obese BMI, feeling positive that itโ€™s only potentially a couple of weeks away!

PickleSarnie · 12/11/2024 20:49

Well done on all the loses! We've had 700 builders, joiners, plumbers, literally all the trades in our house the last few weeks and not actually living there right now so haven't been able to weight myself at exactly the same time on exactly the same bit of floor in weeks. So have no clue what I've lost.

5 days since I last jabbed and, all of a sudden, I'm starrrrrrving. Want to eat all the toast. Trying to placate it with blueberries and twiglets.

quince2figs · 12/11/2024 20:51

So well done everyone hitting a stone loss.

@littleburn, that is one of my goals too, to be content with 1 square of dark chocolate. Although eating much less of it, I still have resolutely basic chocolate tastes - cheap milk chocolate all the way!

Anyone else have less control of their bladder?

Sorry for the TMI, but just little drips that seem to roll out uncontrolled?

Yes! Omg glad it's not just me. So incredibly annoying. I guess I'm just drinking a lot more? It's like, my brain registers that I need to go to the loo and almost immediately it's like an urgent need, whereas previously I could have held it in a lot longer. Sorry TMI also!

I'm just about to order my second pen through IQ Doctor, do I have to go through the questionairre again as if ordering for the first time? I can't seem to find anywhere else to reorder on my account, thanks

I asked about reordering yesterday and never got an answer but yes I think you do have to go through it like a new customer, a bit annoying as the option to reorder with medexpress was really simple and they emailed me lots to remind me to buy and explained how. There is nothing on iq doctor that I can see to explain how to order the next pen.

Fizzleaway1 · 13/11/2024 06:08

Went for a Greek meal last night. I ate mostly salad with a bit of meat and 5 chips.

Iv woke up in the night feeling terrible. I can feel the food still sitting so heavy in my stomach, I keep burping and I now have the ๐Ÿ’ฉ. First time this has happened since I started on MJ.

I know itโ€™s not the actual food as everyone else ate the rest of my meat and chips and everyone else is fine.

Lucky I have the day off today, Iโ€™m going to stay on the sofa with a blanket and chill all day!

I need to reorder from IQ soon and I presumed you just restarted the whole thing again

@Fizzleaway1 that sounds horrid, thank goodness you have the day off to rest. I've had a similar experience hence me being so cautious about food ๐Ÿฅด could it have been too fatty (the meat)? I had steak last night and only managed half of it!! No chips and a mouthful of mushy peas. I'm finding I just can't eat much at all.

Possibly. I think there was a bit of oil & lemon juice on the salad. Not loads as it wasnโ€™t swimming in it and I wondered if it was that as I never put oil on salad at home. What I hate most is this heavy/full feeling on my stomach, itโ€™s like the food is still sitting there and not moving.

So glad I have the day off today! Maybe il start a new series.

EVK · 13/11/2024 06:42

@EricTheGardener
i was up 4x in the night for a wee!! Usually - pre MJ it was 2-3 but seems worse - I guess itโ€™s all the extra fluid! My breast care nurse did say 2l plus tea and coffee is a lot! But Iโ€™m experiencing some constipation too for the first time so feel I need to keep drinking. Iโ€™m taking psyllium husk but in powder for which tastes disgusting and is hard to get down - have to drink it with 500ml of water. Someone said about about capsules? May need to look into that. Like others,
im eating kiwi with skin on,
loads of fruit and veg, chia and mixed seeds!

someone asked if anyone else has stayed on 2.5mg - I have and Iโ€™m in week 6 - itโ€™s still enough for me to make good choices etc. so Iโ€™m happy on this dose. Iโ€™m losing, slowly.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 13/11/2024 06:42

@Fizzleaway1 sounds horrible, poor thing. Could it be the time that you ate? I know if I eat late (usually after 7) I get that horrible full feeling that is still there the following morning.

Yes it could be to do with the lateness too. I normally eat at 5 and we didnโ€™t get our food until 7.30pm:

Hi All,
Congratulations @UpUpUpU on your graduation and new job. Well done everyone on amazing losses.
Sorry for this next bit in advance but itโ€™s something that has really freaked me out this week. I read an article about a lady who had multiple organ failure and died (in the news last week) This was linked with her taking MJ. Iโ€™ve been so paranoid about taking MJ since then that Iโ€™ve had disturbed sleep and every little tiny feeling has sent me spinning out! Itโ€™s taken a lot of strength to get a grip and assure myself that this isnโ€™t going to happen to me!! Does anyone else worry or am I the only one?!! Iโ€™m still on 2.5mg but so this was this woman for only two weeks! Of course there could have been many other contributing factors/health issues. Anyway, itโ€™s really made me think about how much longer I should carry on taking MJ and whether having now crossed the first big hurdle of losing 1 stone ๐Ÿ˜ (Im on 6 weeks) I should try and take all the good habits Iโ€™ve begun and go it alone !! Itโ€™s just so simple and easy with MJ - no food noise, cravings or desire to binge. I worry about what life will be like when I stop and have to manage this myself but I know I have to. Sorry for the downer but this is part of life on MJ I guess !

on another note is anyone on HRT as Iโ€™m hoping my oncologist is going to prescribe for me and I might actually get some sleep! Itโ€™s an increased risk for me as Iโ€™ve had breast cancer but my type wasnโ€™t linked to hormones
so theyโ€™re considering it! I guess this is on my mind too. Iโ€™m debating whether to tell them Iโ€™m on MJ !! I know thatโ€™s stupid now Iโ€™ve written it here !! Of course I should tell them!! Thing is Iโ€™ve no one else except all of you to talk to about this stuff as Iโ€™ve not told anyone!

Sorry for the freak outs and Happy Tuesday everyone ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜…

Hi EVK.

Iโ€™m on HRT, have been for a few years now, and I was still prescribed MJ. There was no issue at all with me taking it. And Iโ€™ve been on MJ for 4 jabs now, and not had any significant side effects at all from MJ.

i imagine that having had breast cancer itโ€™s likely you suffer from health anxiety, like me. I completely relate to your description of noticing every tiny twitch in your body and if youโ€™re like me, youโ€™ll be catastrophising each twitch! For instance, Iโ€™ve become obsessed with resting heart rate since starting MJ, and I monitor it all the time (itโ€™s not gone up). And last week Iโ€™d convinced myself I had a life threatening illness (not MJ related though).

I have rationalised, though, that being obese has far worse risks to my health than MJ. And Iโ€™ve tried for years to โ€˜go it aloneโ€™ but my menopausal body is very resistant and Iโ€™ve not succeeded alone. MJ is like a gift, I canโ€™t believe how many positives there are. Including a reduction in general noise in my head that other people have described on this thread.
good luck with it all.

flowerlady2 · 13/11/2024 07:46

Morning all,
Just reading about the โ€˜bonus doseโ€™ only because the treatment is so pricey! Anyway in making my decision can anyone clarify if the bonus dose is a weekly dose equivalent in itself or if it is the last bit of dose that you take at the same time as your last dose in that pen?

littleburn · 13/11/2024 08:21

For people who've got medexpress to price match, did you just send them a screenshot of a better price elsewhere? Or do you have to go through the approvals process with another provider and send them that?

littleburn · 13/11/2024 08:23

@flowerlady2 it's usually enough for a 5th dose of your normal dose. So the hard twist resets the pen and then you do your normal number of clicks to '1'. There may then be more left in the pen after though.
