Long Med Express delays for first timers

Soshiny · 07/10/2024 11:23

Just to warn anyone starting their journey I’ve been waiting a week and my Mounjaro hasn’t been approved or dispatched.

My email has gone unanswered 4 days later and I’ve been on hold to them for over half an hour now trying to get through to cancel. A quick look at their Trustpilot 1 star reviews shows this is happening to many others too.

Apparently, some people have gotten this email from them. It's taken much more than "a few days" from people who do have an issue and delays with them (Not those who're more interested in sharing their code). I'd be wary of medexpress and proceed with caution (Not saying don't use them).

Yes I had this email last week. It seems they’re asking repeatedly for photos too as a delaying tactic. Lots of this reported on Trust Pilot and has happened to me too.

I’ve not been able to get through to them on the phone. Gave up after being on hold for 45 mins. Still not answered my email from last Thursday. I’m going to have to do a charge back from my bank for goods not delivered at this point.

massive hassle. And I need my next pen!

I don't really understand why so meany use them? there are lots of other reasonable options

WiknowARyder · 07/10/2024 12:48

Same! I think they're the cheapest with discount, thats why. However, 'cheapest' can also mean 'not the best', so I'd rather go with another cheaper one (or even an expensive one) with little to no headaches.

TheRavenSaid · 07/10/2024 12:53

Try monj.co.uk for best prices and service

ThatsNotMyTeen · 07/10/2024 12:54

Cloud pharmacy have been good

Yes, but only for the first order

Orangesandlemons77 · 07/10/2024 13:29

I use Voy which are more expensive but seem fairly simple. have also heard good things about Oushk,

Soshiny · 07/10/2024 13:31

I used Superdrug for my first pen and they were great and quick - but pricey

OP posts:
TheWildRoseBear · 07/10/2024 13:36

I have been with Oushk for a while and honestly never had an issue with any deliveries. They are very easy to get hold of and offer great support and decent price.

Orangesandlemons77 · 07/10/2024 13:28

Yes, but only for the first order

And subsequent ones if they get their codes used. I've seen people here talking about not having to pay for some of their pens because their codes were used so many times, they're free or heavily discounted.

But yes, the first order being the cheapest also draws people in even if they move on later.

Orangesandlemons77 · 07/10/2024 14:13

Oh I see, so they can use more than one discount for is it £40 off? I see.

All the referral code, MLM-style crap they have going on I imagine. I understand some people struggle to pay for it but I find the whole touting of referral codes for prescription medication really distasteful.

Oushk have been quick for me and well priced. I swapped to them from Asda, who were pretty fast too but more expensive.

Orangesandlemons77 · 07/10/2024 14:24

They will change it surely if they keep giving away free pens? I think Voy used to do that too, but they changed it, after a while. It can't be sustainable. And it seems they can't cope with the orders they do have.

HappyShortFuse · 07/10/2024 14:29

urgh - ive just ordered my 2nd pen (5mg) today. I need it to be here for 17th Oct as that is when I need to take it. What do you think my chances are?

WhatsOccurringNessa · 07/10/2024 14:32

I have never had an issue with Voy delivery they are very reliable and can share a code for £35 off your first order.

Orangesandlemons77 · 07/10/2024 14:35

I think we are meant to share codes on the thread for that? there are ones for other pharmacies on there.

ChubbyMcChubfest · 07/10/2024 14:38

I used MedExpress just under 3 weeks ago, for my first order, and got the pen within about 5 days, no further photos or other information needed. They're doing £40 off the first order which could be why they're struggling with demand now I guess.

Orangesandlemons77 · 07/10/2024 14:46

On the reviews on Trustpilot it looks like issues have been going on since around August, so not a new thing.

Soshiny · 07/10/2024 15:09

So I have received an email saying they’re very sorry for the delay and it will be looked at today. Immediately followed by ANOTHER photo request. This time for my ID which they say didn’t meet requirements. It did. I’ve told them to cancel and refund me immediately

OP posts:
Iwouldratherbesinging · 07/10/2024 15:36

I placed a first time order with them on Saturday, had my approval on Sunday and dispatch email today with the tracking details, strange that others are having problems…

OverhwelmedMum · 07/10/2024 16:56

I also ordered Saturday. Just had a message from Royal Mail to say it's being delivered tomorrow morning.

Soshiny · 07/10/2024 18:49

So weird how hit and miss it is. They’ve not responded to my asking for a cancellation and refund so will charge it back if they don’t do so tomorrow. Annoying they’ve had my money for over a week.

Also I ALWAYS use the same ID upload and have had it approved from everything from Royal Mail to solicitors to my bank so I’m pretty sure it does meet requirements. Just seemed like another delaying technique after asking 3 times for a photo which I’m pretty sure met their guidelines anyway

OverhwelmedMum · 07/10/2024 19:08

Hhmmm they don't seem very consistent or reliable do they?! Good luck with getting it sorted. I will be doing some research then on who to order with for next time. I'm scared enough doing this without the added worry of delivery issues!

JanuarySnow · 07/10/2024 19:46

I ordered last Saturday and it was here by Wednesday, sounds very random timescales!
