How much have you lost?

I’ve just started this week at 17 stone (108 kg). I’d like to get to 11 stone (70 kg). I’m 50 at the end of January and I’d love to be halfway there as my weight makes me so self-conscious. I’d like to be able to choose something to wear and enjoy going out rather than wearing something that’s ‘fits’ and hiding away in the background. My daughter is 10 next year and I’d also love to go to Disneyland with her or somewhere hot without fear of not fitting into the plane seat/rides/ looking like a beached whale.

Would love to know how much you’ve lost and over what length of time.

3.5 stone since the start of May, I was 15st 10 to start with (I'm 5ft10)

It hasn't been an easy ride especially this latest 7.5mg dose, I'm nearly at my target but I've extended it to 11st 5, hoping I can start weaning myself off Nd lose the last of it myself because I don't want to feel sick all the time anymore.

No regrets though, best thing I've done for myself.

Lola3034 · 06/10/2024 10:12

Ive taken first dose of Mounjaro on 3rd of August. So far sticking to 2.5mg and lost 12kg. Considering that I was on AI holidays for a week and kept on loosing weight, I am chuffed 🙂. Hoping to lose another 10 by Christmas but even 5kg will be amazing! I have so many clothes I couldn't wear and I am very excited to wear them again!

I started trying to lose weight on May 23rd. Lost 6lbs....

So started MJ on June 28th. Lost a further 36lbs 😍

7lbs to go.

criminallyvulgar · 06/10/2024 10:28

I'm just coming to the end of my first four weeks and have lost exactly a stone. My starting weight was 15 st 8 and I want to get to 10 stone. I am moving up to the next dose on Tuesday so it will be interesting to see if this progress continues

LionAndEmperor13 · 06/10/2024 11:05

Started 27th June, lost 37lbs so far.
Moved up to 5mg after 4 weeks and I've stayed on this dose. I've massively upped my exercise regime, as it's much easier to run etc now that I'm lighter.
Currently 11lbs off my target weight.

HiThereBatFace · 06/10/2024 11:10

I started on the 15th April and I've lost 71 lbs

Was 14 stone 12 and now 9 stone 11

Gladicalled · 06/10/2024 11:13

I am due my 6th injection on Tuesday. I won’t weigh myself tomorrow as my period is due.

But when I got weighed last week I was 17lb down. So that was 4 weeks.

I started at almost 21 stone though.

Darkfloods · 06/10/2024 11:13

Took my fourth injection last night.
Started at 130.7kg and am now 123.4kg.

The end goal seems so far off that I’m just focused on losing and will think about that closer to the time.

TidyDancer · 06/10/2024 11:18

I started 30th August and have lost 17lbs so far. Had a family birthday (cake etc) in the middle of it. Currently on my second 2.5mg pen. The biggest thing for me is that while I'm eating far less than 'normal' I'm not feeling deprived. I'm not trying to obtain total suppression like some are because I don't think that's going to get me into healthy patterns for after I've finished this.

Snozzlemaid · 06/10/2024 11:42

I took my first dose on 28th May and my start weight was 18 stone 6lbs.

I'm now 14 stone 11lbs so have lost 51lbs. Hoping to lose another 4 stone yet so won't be stopping anytime soon.

doodleschnoodle · 06/10/2024 11:43

I started on Sept 5th so just over a month ago and I've lost 19.4lbs. Starting weight of 203lbs, now 183.

3wDavid · 06/10/2024 15:21

I started end of May at 107 kg, and today was 83 kg. My goal is 70-ish so still a bit to go.

TheShellBeach · 06/10/2024 15:23

I've lost 2st 8lb since July 1st.

WeAllHaveWings · 06/10/2024 15:32

3st 2lb in 15 weeks.

Everyone will progress differently so comparisons are sometimes not helpful, give unreasonable expectations and can lead to disappointment. MJ helps you stay in calorie deficit which then causes weightloss. You will not lose more than you usually do in the same calorie deficit, but MJ helps you stick to it.

Paperwhite13 · 06/10/2024 15:34

I started on the 27th June and I've lost 48lbs.

SW: 241lbs
CW: 192lbs

Just another 38 to go!

EliLilly · 06/10/2024 17:02

I've lost 2 stone in 16 weeks (1.8 lbs/wk). I've had to titrate slowly so I'm on a low dose (4.2 mg) for someone this far in. Weight loss definitely not even - I'll lose a lot for a few weeks and then almost nothing and then repeat. I'm also not calorie counting or anything - just trying to make permanent changes and have balance.

I'm 51 and had a starting weight of 17 st 4 lbs (I'm now 15 st 4 lbs). It has made a big difference to how I feel and I'm now exercising more as a result. I've given myself two years for this journey (to hopefully include plenty of maintenance and embedding of habits time, I'm expecting it to take more than a year to get to goal though).

kumamon · 06/10/2024 17:08

Started in early April at 14 st 9lbs. Am now 9st 13lbs. I’ve found it very very effective just hope I can maintain once I stop.

similar here...

Started 25th June

SW- 280lb
CW- 230lb

50lb lost
34 lb to lose (will be 6 stone loss at that point) till I reevaluate and think about where I want to go from there.

I've been on a two week all inclusive in that time and maintained which is unheard of for me I can easily put on around 10lb-14lb on holiday 🙈

gettingolderbutcooler · 06/10/2024 19:24

I've just started it. Got about 20kg to lose.
Is all this weight loss because you are eating less- you don't feel like eating?

kayla12345 · 06/10/2024 22:24

I've started tonight! Hoping to lose 3 stone! How much did everyone lose in their first week?

2021mumma · 06/10/2024 22:29

I’ve lost 1stone since beginning of August - starting weight 14stone- not sure what I’m doing wrong to not see the big weight losses above :0(

kumamon · 06/10/2024 23:12

I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong to have a slower loss @2021mumma. 1 stone in two months is great. I never thought I’d say this and mean it, and it genuinely isn’t a humble brag - but I think I lost weight too quickly. I found the appetite suppressant so strong that there were weeks I wasn’t eating anywhere near enough. I’ve lost strength and am ‘sagging’ a bit. I’ve stayed on 7.5 since June and my appetite is definitely coming back, I’m hoping to rebuild a bit of muscle and get used to eating a healthy amount of food.

A stone in 2 months is brilliant! Your starting weight is lower than some of the above - I think that makes a diff

Pyjamatimenow · 07/10/2024 07:20

My bmi was lower to begin with. I’m 5ft 10 and started at 13st 8 in May. I’m now 11st 1. I didn’t lose on 7.5 or 10 mg for some reason but I also came off it for two weeks as well in August. I’m on 12.5 now and lost 10lb on that. I’m in a size 8 pair of jeans now ( just) so only want to lose another 4/5lb and then I’m going to have to work on maintenance

You're not doing anything wrong - some of us are just slow and steady. 🐢 I just hit my 1 stone loss this weekend. I've been taking Mounjaro since the end of July. So my weight loss and timescale is very similar to yours.

Hopefully it means that we'll have less loose skin issues, as it will have an easier time keeping up with the weight loss. Maybe we'll also benefit at the end of the journey, when it comes to keeping the weight off, if our bodies are reluctant to change quickly and have had more time to get used to being slim!
