Have you told people you are on MJ?

I'm thinking of ordering but one of biggest concerns is telling my teenage DDs.
I try not to discuss weight with them, they are both slim but I am not the body positive woman I want to be.

I feel a bit weird to hide it but also to tell them I'm doing it.

Also, do you tell friends and family or just say you've changed eating habits?

So seen quite a few people today that I haven't seen for ages over the summer school holidays and not a single word mentioned about my 17lbs weight loss!
😂🙈
So no awkward conversations whatsoever!

Not sure if I'm relieved or a tad upset no one has noticed 😂😂

I'm sure people will have noticed. I think people feel awkward commenting on it.

There's someone at work I think might be using MJ or similar. She's looking good (was maybe a size 20-22 before now heading to 16-18 at a guess) but it feels inappropriate to directly comment so instead I say things like 'I love that outfit, it looks great'.

Congrats on losing 17lbs, that's brilliant.

I've only told DH, because of the expense, and also I want someone to know just in case I was unwell, in an accident etc, and medical specialists needed to know what medication I was taking. He knows my weight issue upsets me and is very supportive. He is a healthy weight, though put on the pounds when taking prednisolone (steroid) for a health condition, all of which dropped off after his medication stopped, which really reinforced to me that obesity is hormone related. Attitudes to it can be very judgemental so for that reason I'm keeping quiet. The fact it is registered for the treatment of obesity as well as diabetes seems to escape some people.

I don't intend to tell anyone for all the reasons mentioned. As far as my family know, I am on a low carb/intermittent fasting regime (which they are familiar with me doing). This time, however, I intend to stick at it for the long haul.

I find it unbelievable that naturally slim people decide it is cheating, similarly they say the same about weight-loss surgery. I mean, seriously, who would say having surgery that severely restricts the food you eat and everything associated with that restriction is "easy"?

Can't be doing with judgement. Had enough judgement as an obese person to last me a lifetime. I had a friend comment once in company, "the trouble with us NewbieMJ is, we can't open a packet of biscuits and not finish them". I have never ever consumed an entire packet of biscuits in my life! The assumptions, the judgements, the condemnation of daring to say I am taking MJ injections is just not worth it IMO.

It's so sad reading about so many judgemental people
Why can't people just be happy for people

My DP is also on MJ, so we do our flab jabs together 😁. A few people at work have asked me on the quiet about my weight loss, and ive told them. They have all been very supportive, and a couple have asked more questions and admitted they are thinking about trying it.

My DP's colleague has been on it for 3 weeks....and he's lost 12kg!!! He is a very very large man, though, and I think he will lose twice that before it starts to show.
