The first thread is almost full so, as promised, here is a new one.

Hello to everyone from the original thread, and welcome to anyone using (or considering using) Wegovy/Mounjaro/Saxenda who would like to join the chat 😀

How's everyone doing? How are you @amusedbush ?
I'm now 10 st 9 pds- 3 stone 8 pds loss total.
I've decided to start weaning off; even though I'm still technically 'overweight', I'm actually more than slim enough and happy with how I look and feel.
Took last 2.4ml this morning, need to order the 1.7ml, will do 4 weeks of that then keep going down until finished. That will be scary.

Hey @Mookie81, thanks for thinking of me! Congrats on the weight loss, you must feel fab ❤ weaning off is a big step; I'll be really interested to hear how you feel post-Wegovy.

I have been maintaining since mid-August and seem to have settled around 8st 11lbs (BMI 20-ish). My prescriber contacted me a few weeks ago to say I could either come off the medication or else titrate down to find a suitable maintenance dose, which is what I opted for. Based on how little I responded to the lower doses when titrating up, I'm guessing I'll end up sticking with 1mg for the long term.

I have lost 84lbs using Wegovy, and a total of 134lbs since my highest weight. My body is an absolute wreck after reversing a lifetime of obesity (flat, saggy bum; completely deflated boobs that sit somewhere near my belly button; probably close to 10lbs of loose skin on my stomach, thighs, and arms) but I have neither the money nor the courage for surgery, so I'm trying to make peace with it.

@amusedbush hello. I wonder if you can help with a few questions.
My wegovy is on its way after being refused Mounjaro. I take methotrexate and it contraindicates.

Did you frequently feel sick?
Did you lose your initial loss without medication?
What has been the most successful part of taking the injections?
I have lost five stone and have another four to go. I'm pretty scared tbh. I hate being sick.

@Mrsredlipstick In short, it turns out my lifelong binge eating is a symptom of ADHD, which I was diagnosed with in 2021, and I lost the first 50lbs after starting stimulant medication. However, I couldn't lose any more on my own so my GP recommended Wegovy, if I could afford it privately.

I am emetophobic so I was terrified that it would make me sick, and I got a prescription for an anti-sickness medication (prochlorperazine) before I did my first injection. Thankfully I have been really lucky with side effects and although I have felt nauseous a few times (maybe 3-4 times since I started in November 2023), the prochlorperazine got to work quickly. I also learned quickly that eating anything too spicy, too fatty, or too fibrous didn't sit well in my stomach for the first few weeks so I just avoided them.

For me, the injections take away the "snacky" feeling and preoccupation with food. I do still get hungry when it's time for a meal but I have zero interest in food in between, so it's easy to stay in a calorie deficit. Without Wegovy, I'm starving and thinking about food literally all day, which doomed all of my previous weight loss attempts.
