What should I wear for a small elopement wedding in Essex this August?

Hello I’m eloping with my partner in August we are getting married in Essex in a lovely chapel. I have no idea what to wear? Any advice please. Thinking a dress but not sure, do I need to hold flowers? It’s just the two of us and our two children attending.

Is it definitely going ahead this time?!

I’d think a knee length dress maybe? What sort of size/colour are you thinking? Budget?

Firstly, congrats! I had a small wedding (us and witnesses) and got a wedding dress off Vinted but I was lucky as the measurements were my size so no alterations needed. What do you feel happiest wearing? I also had flowers but then forgot to hold them during the ceremony and actually I liked how freeing it was as I wasn’t hiding behind something? But equally if you love flowers then why not? This isn’t that helpful is it… what’s your style? That’s a good starting point. We got married in the countryside so a soft floaty dress suited that but if we’d gone for a city I’d have happily wore an off white jumpsuit. I saw it as a chance to have fun, wear something I wouldn’t normally and play around with it 😊
