Wedding witnesses needed - Bromsgrove registry office - 27/3/26

need 2 witnesses for our wedding at bromsgrove registry office Friday 27th March 2026 at 12pm. Can’t ask family or friends as it’s a secret with just our 4 year old son coming.

I know it's frowned on MN to say this, but unless you live in Scotland,you cannot get married in a registry office, they register land and property title deeds. Wish to god we had done this! Long story short, booked Gretna green,mil went mad, ended up with her wedding 🤬. I wish we had done this. Good luck to you, have a fabulous wedding.

A quick google will show lists of registry offices where you can get married.

If you are just being needlessly pedantic, register office and registry office appear to be interchangeable (at least to google), and I'm sure everyone knew what the OP was referring to.

Why not just grab a couple of people off the street on the day? That's what my grandfather did back in 1945 when he married my grandmother.

Where I live they are Register offices,in fact my neighbour is a Registrar,of Births, Deaths and Marriages. I am sure when people say Hoovering,we know they mean vacuuming. Lazy speech creeping into the English language, like the ick!
