Hi, me and my partner are getting married next year. We’re in the preliminary stages of planning and I’ve contacted all of the official complete venues we are interested in, to arrange viewings.
As we are a small wedding, around 28 guests plus us 2, another option is to have a civic centre or registry office service, followed be a sit down meal in a restaurant. I’m not big on food for celebratory purposes as I think it can segment people and stilt conversation, so I personally, would ideally want to follow the meal up with something more lively and where we could mingle more (having a bevvy or 2, aswell).
We are very casual and so this doesn’t need to be an ‘insta’ place. Some of our guests are under the legal drinking age too - so we can’t head to a bar (shame as I love ‘as you like it’ for live music).
This could also be an activity based place.
Has any one get any places they’d recommend? (Ideally Newcastle town centre or North Shields/ north Tyneside coast)
It would also work if the restaurant we were eating at, had a private room with space for a musician for us to hire and maybe a little mingling area/dance floor, so we didn’t need to move on at allz
thanks to anyone who can help :)
