How to go about arranging bridesmaid outfits, hair and makeup?

Never been a bridesmaid before. How is it generally done when dresses and hair and makeup etc are sorted? Do you wait for the bride to message one day, is it a Maid of Honour thing? Interested to know! Thank you

It's been a while since I was the Bridesmaid but I don't think there's any harm in asking her when you'll all be going shopping for your Bridesmaid's dresses
