Our budget is about 800 max. I'm struggling to find anything that isn't in the thousand range. But surely not everyone has that money to spend, any creative or cheap ideas would be most appreciated

Hi lovely.

My local registry office cost £57 - £290 depending on day and numbers but I wasn’t a big fan of it.

The next town along has a beautiful town hall and that cost us £250 plus a £50 booking fee as long as numbers were 30 and under. No frills such as drinks or anything. They do a packages that cost more which I’ve attached to give you an idea of costs for a civil venue. I live up North for context.

Word wedding adds £££. Proper wedding venues are eye watering. I think if you a pub lunch / village hall / restaurant for reception you can keep costs around £800.

Where the most of your budget goes is what matters the most to you. I’d say having a nice wedding venue, nice reception location and paying for guests meals were of around equal priority for me. There’s no set way and do what feels right for you :)

We are doing our reception at a lovey rural pub with amazing views. As it’s not a wedding venue the only cost will be guest’s meal’s and it’s quite weddingy anyway as it has an outdoor canopy with fairly lights to eat in where you can see views of the rolling hills!
