I've seen that a few people have managed to find witnesses through Mumsnet before so I thought I'd try myself.
My partner and I plan to form a civil partnership in Exeter on August 22nd and we need two witnesses. We had originally planned to have both our mothers travel across from Ireland, but sadly his grandad's health prevents his mother from travelling. Instead we have decided to just do the legalises over here and then travel back there in the following days for celebrations.
So, we are just going to do a quick, 5 minute max, sign the papers and leave.
If anyone would be willing to help us out by being a witnesses we would be incredibly grateful. We only recently moved to Exeter and all out friends are a couple hours flight away, so we don't want them spending loads of money for such a short event.
