In need of elopement ideas and suggestions (UK)

Buying a house this year so hoping to wed on the cheap. We don’t want a huge day and like the idea of doing what we want to do

Absolute beginners and no idea where to start looking or researching

We got engaged this weekend. Is October too soon to marry and plan everything? Saw some beautiful elopement pictures in Edinburgh City Centre and it was so gorgeous and autumnal.

The other option would be next spring but it feels like a long time away and if we’re just eloping surely it doesn’t matter?

I'm being bias but we got married in Auchen castle, Scotland. They do elopement packages. It's beautiful!
