This dress for a vow renewal?

Hello friends,

Been together 28 years... married 17.

We've got a vow renewal in December.. so excited but unsure what to wear?

Had a huge circus wedding last time with trumpets, bells and whistles. This time just us and family.

Is this dress ok?

Had a freaking great flouncy, wafting number last time so not sure.

Lovely elegant dress and the shoes are fab! Its hard to judge a dress on a hangar but I can tell it has a lovely drape to it.

I don't think the shoes are quite right for the dress. Too blingy and the heel is wrong. They look dated in a bad way. The dress deserves better.

If you are 5 11 and a size 10 then that dress will look absolutely fab, it's all about the drape. What a lovely thing to do after what's been an incredibly tough time of the past couple of years.

Hahaha some people are nuts. It's not a well known FACT, it's something people say on mumsnet! My inlaws did it when one of them survived cancer for the third time!

Anyway OP I think it's wonderful and would love to renew my vows one day and be as happy as you sound as will be a.similar age when my 3 are grown!

@Meezer2 I rescued my first Meeze - she was been advertised for free on Facebook- scary where she might have ended up.
Although she is no longer with us, she left me with a lifelong addiction to Siamese!
I have two girls now - life is never dull (or quiet!)

Never in my life have I heard the “fact” that you renew your vows if someone has cheated - god there are some bloody miserable gits out there!

My husband and I have been married four years and our wedding was brilliant but so stressful due to overseas guests attending etc so we have already talked about going to Vegas or something for our ten year wedding anniversary to have a silly vow renewal with our children so that they can be a part of it too

I had my first meezer 30 years ago and she started off my addiction.

Once you've had a Siamese you never go back!

The most needy, loyal, loving and bloody noisy cats in the world!

Each one I've ever had has had such individual personality quirks.

My darling old girl is 16 and not in the best health... still has her crazy meezer moments though. 😻

Firstly congratulations on your excellent taste in cats.

Secondly it is a little hard to judge a dress on a hanger, but you are tall and slim so it should suit you.

I love dresses like that but they aren't for shorties.
