anyone have any ideas? Internet isn't grabbing me with anything. I need inspiration!

Can be a reading, can be a poem. We aren't confident enough to write our own. It will be read by a good friend during the ceremony.

TIA x

I had the same issue, have ended up putting my future step children in my vows instead of a reading as couldn't find anything.
Things like
I promise to be by your side as you grow
I promise to love your father forever
I promise to continue to have fun with you
I promise to be thankful to have you in my life
I promise to keep stuffing our faces with sweets, hiding in the kitchen after daddy said we can't have anymore. (Maybe that's just us Grin )

My 7 year old son read a doctor Zeus poem at our wedding, I can’t remember it all but it says something about ‘life is a bit weird, we are all a little weird, but when we find someone who we fall into mutual weirdness together, we call it love’.

Thanks both, that Dr Seuss poem... I think my stb step son will be reading that for his speech (he's best man, bless). And we were thinking of incorporating those other lines into the vows but the registrar said we weren't allowed to change the vows. And my stbh didn't want to do it as he'd probably burst out crying and not be able to finish!
