We had a meeting with the caterer today and she's come back and quoted us with £150 more than the original quote she gave us.
I'm still quite happy with the price as it's £38 a head for a 3 course meal, cake and teas and coffee, but i just can't understand where the extra money has come from.
The only things we changed were:
- adding teas and coffee
- half of our party is vegetarian, so instead of us having 1 meat option, we now have a meat and a vegetarian. Obviously i know this is more work and ingredients, but it's still for the same number of people.
- We actually are having 3 different cakes instead of 1 big wedding cake, which she had put in our first quote. The 1 big cake cost £125 and the 3 cakes we're having now come to under £100, so again, not seeing where the big price hike is.
- 2 sandwiches and crudites for the kids as they wouldn't really enjoy the food we're having.
Can i ask for an itemisation? Not for every little thing, but just for things like the cost of the main per head, number of teas and coffees per person she factored for.
