I think the dress is beautiful actually. It doesn't fit you properly though, so you will need alterations. Is this the sample dress? Or the dress in your closest size pre alterations?
If you would prefer something more fitted, then just talk about it when you have the alterations done, and get them to narrow the seams over the hips down to the mid thigh so it's fitted. That's basically what a fishtail is. If you want to make the shape even more pronounced you can ask them about having a fishtail petticoat underneath.
The cost of some extra alterations will pale in comparison to the cost of abandoning the dress and buying something totally different.
There are lots things which will change the dress completely once corrected with the alterations (The lace is too wide at the top of your bust and is dropping, the dress isn't sufficiently tight directly under your bust, which is causing gathering, the hemline is far too low and will need to be taken up to match your height, etc).
Overall, it's a very timeless, classic dress. Lace is very popular at the moment, and as a general rule, much more flattering than satin.
I might be biased though as your dress looks quite a lot like mine!!
