Anyone getting married this year?

Can we have a planning thread? I'm getting married in July, a pretty typical civil wedding in a city hotel with around 150 guests and I'm just starting to organise myself - pretty sure there are things I'm forgetting. Is anyone else in the same kind of position and do you want to talk plans with me? Please?

I'm getting married in September. I've already done all my planning :( I was a bit too organised at the start and now everything is done. We are choosing rings next week and then we just have to assemble favour boxes and we're good to go.

You are very organised AKiss, do you want to do my planning now Wink ? What favours are you having?

AKissIsNotAContract · 04/05/2013 08:52

I'd love to do other people's planning! I really enjoyed it. Everyone keeps saying that planning a wedding is so stressful and I haven't really found that yet. Maybe the stress will all hit me in the last week.

Our favours are lovehearts, kola Kubes and flying saucers in Tiffany blue boxes. If anyone is having retro sweets I can recommend a good website, got them for a really good price.

Have had a productive day! Flowers sorted and ordered, i found the loveliest florist and i am so pleased with their suggestions and prices! Underwear shopping complete (the pants to go with wonder bra!!). Ivory tulle bought. Rings collected and paid for.

Am ordering jewellery tonight. Need to order a handbag too - what is everyone else doing handbag-wise?

DP has been allocated the task of confirming menu and table plans with venue.

I feel a bit more organised now. Still need to figure out how we decorate the room. That is my biggest outstanding issue at the moment. And to look through suggested wedding readings, book my 'hair rehearsal ' , and decide on wedding music and favours!!!

When is your wedding Louie?

That is gorgeous AKiss, might have to get the same! My wedding is on 6th July, not long really.... Starting to get excited now Grin

Louie, my maid of honour is having a drawstring bag off ebay with our makeup in.

7 weeks for me!

My friend that owns a pub is supplying alcohol for us, cans going in big bins of ice - plus massive bottles of champers for £5!

Staff and table plan for dance group sorted! Just need to pay my friend for alcohol, buy some extension leads, sort out punch, tea & coffee for the day...

Hi Pandemonia, what sort of wedding are you having?

I'm getting married in a really lovely Victorian Town Hall - family only (approximately 20 people) ceremony with my two and a half year old dgd as bridesmaid and ring bearer. We are then having a lovely lunch, followed by afternoon tea and a huge evening celebration for all our friends in a very nice pub. I'm wearing a slightly steampunk outfit which will suit me and the venue. I've just had confirmation that a really fantastic fellow photographer is able and very willing to do my pictures too because he will do an amazing job. We did all the formal stuff today at the Registry Office too so all we have to do is turn up on the day. Oh, and we chose the music! So exciting. So many little lists though....
