Or walk down the aisle or similar to? My friend is getting married in march and is stuck. Mine was pachelbel's cannon. Or anything you would or wish you had arrived to?

In to Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (Bach)

Out to something by Mozart which I am mortified to not remember right now Blush

GrandPoohBah · 26/03/2012 22:22

I walked in to Chanson De Matins by Elgar. Out to Arrival Of The Queen Of Sheba. Can't remember what we signed the register to.

Don't remember hearing any of it, despite having a string quartet!

mrsflower · 27/03/2012 23:19

Arrival of the Queen of Sheba

Much to my Mum's amusement... Hmm

charlieandlola · 27/03/2012 23:31

Up the aisle to Charpentier Te Deum

Down to Parrys I was Glad

15 years afterwards william and Kate copied us !

NoWayNoHow · 27/03/2012 23:33

I wish I'd walked down the aisle to Pachelbel's Canon, I thin it's perfect. Did the Queen of Sheba instead though as trade off with DH (he really wanted that, and I really want the really cheesy traditional Wedding March to leave the church on)

Limelight · 28/03/2012 00:07

A close friend of mine is a composer and wrote something for a chamber choir which I walked down the aisle to (also smug).

I walked out to Joy to the World (we got married just after Christmas).

AuntySib · 28/03/2012 00:28

In:" Morning "from Peer Gynt suite , Grieg, ( my choice) out ( his) something by Elgar ( can't remember precisely, but over 20 years ago); first dance " Night and Day" ( Cole Porter??) Plus best friend singing ( jazz-ish) mates with sax & keyboards, and the funniest speeches ever! ( thanks to DH ,BiL ,and my own DB).

Boccherini, the Passa calle from Musica notturna delle strade di Madrid. Supposed to be for cello but my friend played it on the violin, it was lovely.

MsIngaFewmarbles · 05/04/2012 19:21

Pachabel Canon in D - walking in
Clair de Lune - register
Rule the World (Take That) walking out

First dance,

DarrowbyEightFive · 05/04/2012 19:36

We definitely went in to 'When will we be married Molly' by The Waterboys, but played as an instrumental on piano and violin by friends of ours. Can't remember what we walked out to - I think it was a piece composed by one of the musicians (unfortunately not something he'd composed specially for the event). Our first dance was Jimmy Hickey's Waltz, also by The Waterboys, played by a full Irish band. Dh and I went to a special 'wedding dance class' to learn how to waltz!

PS DH is Irish so we felt the Celtic theme was appropriate.

Joolyjoolyjoo · 05/04/2012 19:42

Appropriate this should come up today, as it's my 10th Wedding anniversary!

Walked in to The March of the Prince of Denmark

And out to the Star Wars theme, played on the church organ Grin Took them all a few minutes to recognise it...

BellaOfTheBalls · 08/04/2012 22:15

I will walk in to Te Deum & we will walk out the The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba.

We're having Nothing Else Matter by Metallica while we sign the register. On a pipe organ Grin

GilbertandGeorge · 08/04/2012 22:29

Parry's I was Glad.

TequilaMockinBird · 08/04/2012 22:31

Chasing Cars was playing as I pulled up in the golf buggy car and walked down the aisle. Then Annie's Song by John Denver played as we took our vows Smile

LoopyLoeufdePaques · 08/04/2012 22:37

In: Morning Mood (for Peer Gynt, Grieg)

Out: The Shire, by Howard Shore (from Lord of the Rigs, but beautiful classical piece)

bronze · 08/04/2012 22:38

In to the rejoicing from handels firework music and
out it was Bachs toccata and fugue in
During the signing of the register a good friend of mine did a medley/mash of oh happy day, moving on up and something else I can't remember

StickingLaboutin · 08/04/2012 22:42

The theme tune from Austin Powers on the way up and Summer in the city on the way down. We wed in a helicopter flying over Las Vegas. They weren't our choice but the pilot asked if we wanted music and this just happened to be what came on. :)
