Or walk down the aisle or similar to? My friend is getting married in march and is stuck. Mine was pachelbel's cannon. Or anything you would or wish you had arrived to?

No. I got married abroad in an hotel. It never occurred to me to ask for music!

kellestar · 07/01/2012 21:06

Beach Boys 'I Can Hear Music' it's our favourite song and the lyrics are quite nice. The music alone still brings shivers and almost tears to my eyes.

Beatles 'All You Need is Love' on the way out played by our lovely but slightly drunk organist.

I'm not married yet - date set for May 2013. I want to walk in to Heaven Tonight by Hole, not going to tell anyone except DP, DBro and my bridesmaids :)

scaryjane · 07/01/2012 21:08

My Dh wrote me a piece [smug]

GrimmaTheNome · 07/01/2012 21:08

Queen of Sheba in.
I think it was Trumpet Voluntary on the way out followed by Vidor's Toccata. I'm lucky to have an excellent organist in the family!

AlmaMartyr · 07/01/2012 21:09

In - Charpentier's Te Deum

Out - Widor's Toccata

choppychopster · 07/01/2012 21:09

Walked in to an instrumental version of Kissing You (theme from Romeo+Juliet). Wanted Gorecki by Lamb, but got bullied into using some musicians connected to the church who were a bit shit, so went with something I knew they could do rather than have them butcher a gorgeous but v difficult song for my big entrance.

Bobbish · 07/01/2012 21:10

The wedding song from Marriage of Figaro

I had a harpist playing a lovely folksy piece he composed himself. It was lovely . He was one of dh's mates and did it as our wedding present. :)

nancy75 · 07/01/2012 21:20

Lockets, thats really a lovely way to have included your dd, great choice.

kahlua4me · 07/01/2012 21:22

We had my cousin playing his Irish tin whistle. Lovely lovely tune called The Butterfly for walk in. Can't remember what he played as we left, too busy grinning!

Fenouille · 07/01/2012 21:29

Walked in to an arrangement of Night and Day played by a friend's string quartet. They played When I'm 65 while a signed the register but I can't remember what we walked out to - don't think we specified anything in particular.

Fo0ffyShmo0ffer · 07/01/2012 21:31

Aw Truly Madly Deeply was our first dance.
Smile

FriendofDorothy · 07/01/2012 21:31

In to Gabriel's Oboe which is the gorgeous theme from The Mission.

Out to Jerusalem played on the organ.

vespalover · 07/01/2012 21:32

In to Marvin Gaye 'Ain't no mountain high enough' and out to Elvis - not a church wedding obviously!

melliebobs · 07/01/2012 21:42

I had 'Words' by the doves. The beginning is a nice instrumental. Bit different but people will recognise it cos it's used as background music on telle a fair bit

SandStorm · 07/01/2012 21:44

In: Trumpet Voluntary
Out: Arrival of the Queen of Sheba

It was a church service.

SandStorm · 07/01/2012 21:45

Oh, and we had a friend (prof. opera singer) singing Porgi Amor (sp) while we signed the register.
