We are getting married (abroad) in 7 weeks. DD and I have a final dress fitting tomorrow.

DD decided tonight that she'd like to try her bridesmaid dress on now, so I agree. It's too small Sad, the zip wont go up, there's about an inch gap.

FFS! What shall I do? Im sure the ordering time for a new one is 10 weeks. I've also looked on the internet, and eBay but either cant find one the same or the lead time is too long!

I've got ties for the men in the same colour and material as the dress, flowers, cakes etc all match too.

Sad Sad

Can you get it to a dressmaker ? They could possibly change it to a corset type fastening and put a modesty panel in it.

I was about to suggest the same thing.. find one that does bridal alterations.. they have seen this kinda problem a lot !!

There is a dressmaker at the dress shop where we are going tomorrow. It may be worth asking that then, I thought they would only be able to make dresses smaller, not bigger. Didnt think of modesty panel.

Just not sure with the style of it that it would be feasible. Worth a try though.

Well I may be saved! Took her for fitting yesterday and theres about 3/4 of an inch on each side which can be let out.

Fingers crossed that's enough! Will just have to starve her until we go Wink
