INteresting, some good ideas, had to think a bit though and when I'd completed it it simply erased my responses and whizzed me back to the start!

Hulababy · 13/01/2010 21:14

yogabird - it shouldn't have erased your answers. It bribgs up a very similar screen but with explainations, and slightly differnt questions.

I have completed.

Katymac · 13/01/2010 21:22

no way would DH understand this - i thought it quite good

Libra · 13/01/2010 21:28

Very interesting.

I liked the numbers best. Didn't like the one where the more probable weather was in a brighter colour than the rest.

RustyBear · 13/01/2010 21:32

Done - must get DH (statistician) to see what he thinks of it.

Anyone else want to answer the question about your chief source of weather information with 'OhYouBadBadKitten'?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 14/01/2010 09:38

it was quite interesting wasn't it. Do you think it would help people understand that forecasting is all about what 'they' think will probably happen? or will it be just rather confusing?

yogabird, I thought the same but as Hula says, with me it whizzed up a very similar screen.

Done. Is it like MN when you might get a prize?

I found them all quite confusing until the last one which I thought was helpful.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 14/01/2010 09:47

at prize. errmmm. you could ask them for a free weather forecast!!

I love all these ideas, but then I'm very happy with what probability is about - the problem is that a lot of people really don't have any "feel" for what it means, so they'd need a lot of explanation at first.

ShellingPeas · 14/01/2010 17:48

I liked the diamond one the best as it gave the most information.

I did think the questions asked weren't ideal - like most multiple choice questionnaires I'm always left shouting 'but none of the above' and 'it's a bit of both'.

catinthehat2 · 14/01/2010 17:58

Done it!
I got an instant win notification after I submitted which surprised me.

catinthehat2 · 14/01/2010 18:17

One of the two statments above is not true.
CAn you guess which?
