I went googling for books to learn more about the weather - there actually is a "Weather for Dummies"!
But on a weather newsgroup, I asked a question about suitable books for people who already have some understanding but want to take their knowledge further. That newsgroup does have a FAQ, and a lot of it I find difficult to understand, but they do have a list of recommended books. Here's the URL for that:
