We're under an amber weather warning for rain. (West Mids)
How are the roads and rivers near you?

It was not as wet on the roads this morning as I expected. Often there are puddles right across the carriageway of the "fast" lane. Not looking forward to it tonight though, for the return journey, as it will be dark as well.

Wales are predicted up to 150 mm rain in places, not the usual places as it is an east wind today.

It's been raining non stop heavily all day. I can't remember ever seeing rain like this. Normally it stops for a bit or eases off and on. This has been intense all day.

Now it's dark it feels a bit like a disaster movie - like the Day After Tomorrow where it starts snowing and it just seems like heavy snow but it never stops and before you know it the Statue of Liberty is buried - but with rain.

I think we may all be washed away. Flood plain areas must be in real trouble if its like this everywhere.

Been constantly raining all day in West Yorkshire. Wind is really blowing too & its howling down the side of the house, but we arent in the weather warning area for wind.

North Manchester here too.....my greenhouse is in pieces 😭

West Midlands and it says 55mph winds but it feels stronger than that. We have road closures from fallen trees and thousands without power.

Claudia has missed us in the NE but she has drizzled onto already sodden ground after a very wet week. Some of the Lumiere event in Durham had to be closed last night as the Wear was threatening to overtop.

Earlier today the prediction for the Avon here in Stratford were for it to rise to extreme levels. That’s been hugely downgraded now though.
