Keeping bedroom cool

Has anyone got any parent tips for keeping the baby’s bedroom cool? He’s 7 months and it’s currently 25 degrees in his room. I’ve left the blinds closed all day to try to keep the sun out and at about 6pm I opened all the windows in the house to get a breeze flowing through (it sort of worked cause it cooled the room from 28 to 24) I have closed the window onto the latch for overnight but it doesn’t seem to be helping. I’ve considered a fan or something but he seems terrified of anything that makes a noise at the moment. So yeah, if anyone has any magic advice I’d love to hear it.

If your house layout permits it, first thing in the morning when it's at the coolest outside open doors downstairs and all the windows upstairs. That way you get a really good breeze through the house and can properly cool it down to early morning outside temperature. As soon as it's warmer outside than in (by about 8am here today) close all the doors, almost completely close windows, and any curtains in sun facing rooms. Leaving the window a tiny bit open behind blinds / curtains helps a bit as it allows the superhot air heated by the sun between the window and the curtain to escape out. Getting the room to start each day a little cooler helps keep it a little cooler by evening.

Ice in front of a fan helps a little, we fill up 2L soft drink bottles and freeze them. Damp sheets helps a little. We have tried freezing cherry stone bags (normally you heat them) but the kids didn't like them.

Interested to hear if anyone else has any better tips!

Easiest thing to do us move his bedroom (ie cot) to a cooler room in the house for a few days, assuming there is one.
Alternatively, can you hang a sheet outside of his window to stop the sun hitting the glass? We do this and it works really well.
