Shall I set the pool up?

Any meterologists around with your high-tech crystal balls? Is this weather likely to hold?

The dc are asking me to set the pool up. I'm happy to do so if the weather is likely to stay warm enough for them to use it regularly. Once the pool goes up I fill it only once and it stays up for the rest of the summer holiday. I am the one who skims it every night, and cleans it, and keeps an eye on the pool chemistry.

What do you think? Has summer arrived in the South East?

Yes

I set mine up today. Nice new 6ft round pool. Took 2hrs to fill. They were in it for not even ten minutes. Sigh. At least I can use it to water the garden.

What type of pool do you have?

Our 10ft framed pool is up. Kids love it.

Our 15 ft by 4 ft pool holds 5310 gallons of water. It take a whole day to fill and another 2 days to become warm enough to swim in. Like you I only fill once and maintain daily. We put ours up on Thursday morning and the family have had a great time already!

Yes put it up. Mine took 24 hours to fill and the last 2 days warming up. The grandkids love it.

To be fair I'm considering putting my 2 ring 36" diameter paddling pool up that takes 3.75 minutes to fill but I haven't got the puff to blow it up.

Going to get a lot cooler Thursday

LifeIsGoodish · 01/06/2021 19:56

It's a 10' easy-set. 20 mins to set up, but many hours to fill. Definitely a morning job, as I won't leave it filling overnight.

I can hope, but I don't expect today and yesterday's glorious weather to last until September - this is the UKGrin.
