Wednesday and Thursday this week could get to 29 degrees where I am on the Surrey/Berkshire border.

Do you think that is actually likely to happen or could it be cooler or even hotter? Could it be a sign that we are in for a hot July & August?

I really hope not. Low 20s is high enough for me.

We're certainly in for a hot few days with temperatures in the upper 20s for most of England and the low-mid 20s for the North/Scotland. But yes, London/the SE could hit 30C/low 30s between tomorrow and Friday. But as often happens, it's looking like there'll be a thundery breakdown and Friday looks like the day to watch for that.

Netweather's thoughts on the weather for this week.

Summer forecast from Netweather and TheWeatherOutlook.

My outdoor sensor is saying 33 degrees. Local weather station on Weather Underground is showing 32.7 degrees C.
Now 25 degrees indoors so staying put for a while. I anticipate an evening walk in the woods when it cools down a bit.

I'm in Suffolk and thermometer is showing 31 in the shade. Upstairs had reached 28 by the time I gave up on work.

GloriaSmud · 24/06/2020 20:56

My weather station recorded 33.7C at 4.50pm this afternoon and it's 26.2C at the moment. 'Tis going to be a warm night.

The metoffice have issued a Level 3 Heat health alert for some areas.

Bluewavescrashing · 24/06/2020 20:57

32 here. The air feels so thick. I'm not even going to try putting DCs to bed for a while.

High reached 33.2 at Bagshot, Surrey - data
So a bit hotter than that recorded at Heathrow, least from that weather station. I wonder if anywhere else got higher, I expect a city location may have due to heat being trapped by buildings.

Finally opened my windows as outdoors is now 24 degrees which is lower than inside.
