BBC forecast

I have always relied on BBC, pretty much.
It seems esp. bad lately.
Just autumn unsettledness... or is it because they switched away from the MET office as source??
metoffice website seeming better.

Got soaked last week on a nominally "all dry" day, hymph!!

Ohhhh, I had this. The BBC was proving so unreliable that I've deleted the weather app. I assumed it was because of budget cuts so they couldn't invest so much in the latest technology. ..??

I agree, I got soaked on a day out at London Zoo because the forecast on bbc said dry but extremely cold, so I wore my warm coat not my hooded raincoat, and it poured all day.

To be fair the met office were forecasting only a 10% chance of rain on Sunday here and sadly we were unlucky. I don't watch the bbc forecast, so I can't comment on it's accuracy. the radio four forecast is far too vague for anything than a rough idea.

Yes. Ive had problems too. Im about to get rid of the app and install another one.
A few times lately Ive been forecast wall to wall dry sunshine and come home to saturated washing on my line or find I have no waterproof coat or brolly.

Annoyingly unreliable.

I use the app and it's frequently wrong. Take right now for instance. I've just updated it and have the white cloud symbol. It's actually dark enough for me to need lights on in the house and it's pouring down!
Not a one off either!
And something I do notice is that the app frequently has a different forecast to the one shown on local BBC news.

Weekend. Trying the weather channel now.

As an aside, we're just back from the US and I'd forgotten since our last visit just how much I love watching The Weather Channel when we're there - wish we had it, or something similar, here!
