Frost in August??

Just heard the BBC news weather forecast, possibility of ground frost tonight in northern and western areas. Has anyone heard of frost in august before? Now worried about tender plants in garden.

They mentioned the possibility of ground frost on Countryfile this week (err, it was just on in the background Blush ) aswell
