Is summer over?

Showery all week, looking dry for tomorrow and sat but forecast not looking good after that. Is it the end of summer? Was hoping for a few more beach days before the kids go back to school, any chance of a late heat wave?

It does look cool and unsettled through the rest of august at present. Not necessarily a wash out dont look at bank holiday and weekend and beyond, it will hopefully change, so theres no point in getting depressed

It may change, but I would seize every sunny dry day with both hands, even if its not that warm.

The end of summer always makes me feel , dd2 loves the beach so much and when it rains it's hard work having to stay in ( she has ASD so going to indoor places is too stressful for her ) but tbh she would probably enjoy the beach just as much if it's not sunny, may have to buy her a wet suit so she doesn't get cold , to be fair we have been very lucky with the weather up until now! will make the most of tomorrow and sat before the rain sets in again and maybe invest in a umbrella.

I have my cardi firmly back on today.

BBC weather lady said it might get a bit better BH week but she is probably fibbing.

I suppose this summer was a bit better in that it won't have rained for the whole 6 weeks but still feel a bit cheated.
