Bank Holiday Weather?

Do any of the weather gurus have any views on the weather for the August Bank Holiday weekend - specifically the Sunday in Northamptonshire please?

It's very far out in forecasting land still but sadly at the moment the forecast looks very unsettled stupid weather

I'll keep the thread updated though good idea for one and you never know, things may change.

I've just seen the Netweather forecast. It looks like I'm going to have to get creative with my guests instead of the lazing in the garden

Im hoping for any updates or inklings you guys may have for Berkshire on the bank holiday fri/sat/sun.

Yes Im going to Reading fest and Im not fancying it this year but DS is very excited. If it's dry I'll enjoy the waiting around much more than if I'm hiding away lol

Guess its time for an update :) at the moment Saturday looks potentially showery, Sunday either wet or not wet depending on which model you look at, Monday remaining wet. All days cool.

I'd like to order a "Not Wet" Sunday please - I've got a family BBQ organised and I'd just like everyone a bit more spread out if possible.

I'd also like to put in a bid for a dry Sunday please as I'm meeting friends and their kids in a very outdoors place.

10 degrees only and a clear sky atm. Tomorrow morning forecast for even colder and in single figures.
The last 2weeks has been ominous as my grass has hardly grown.
Out now for dog walk in my thick hooded fleece jacket and gloves .

Better than milder and wet, though

It's gone so cold these past few days - feels like summer has gone!

I'll be working outside all week , including the weekend, no matter what the weather, so I am hoping for good news.

CuttedUp You're right about it being cold ~ I was out blackberry picking last night between 6.45 and 8 and what with the chilly breeze as well, my hands began to feel quite cold after a while.

I'm a bit worried my allotment tomatoes won't ripen now.

It looks a slightly less gloomy picture this morning with GFS being more optimistic about timing of rain (mostly keeping it til Monday) and the amount of rain, with it looking less delugey. The met office are not so optimistic bringing in rain in by Saturday evening in western parts.

Some possible hints of the traditional back to school warm up too.

Oh bum. We are camping from Friday to Monday then off to Dorset for a week. We are only just starting this camping lark and pretty fair weather ones at that!
Does it pick up next week OYBBK? TIA

Ive looked at a few sites and it seems the Festival might escape the rain, a few showers Friday but Im fine with that, happy if its cloudy too as it gets very hot there.

Saturday looks pretty reasonable now as does Sunday for the majority until a low moves in from the west. Not looking so good for Monday though.

Next week, it depends on where the high to the south of us exactly ends up, it could be pretty wet and unsettled, but maybe not so bad for the south.

God I hate being cold!

So this morning, the picture is broadly of a showery day Friday and perhaps to some extent Saturday. Sunday still looks pretty good with rain moving into the west later in the day. Monday looks wet. At the moment the following week looks unsettled with some showers, temps may recover a little.
