oh my goodness.

heavy downpour, thunder= flooded road, manhole covers spurting water, water across the road and a bow wave from some twonk driving the other way which completely covered my windscreen.

one hour later, no water in gutters, and the hint of a bit of debris in the road...thats it lmost like nothing happened.

morrisons car park is flooded though.

We had a thundery 'shower' that started at 1pm and hasn't finished yet! A few lightning strikes are showing up here, seems to be lots of these storms around this afternoon.

Sounds very exciting!!

It was lovely early this morning , but just been out for 2nd dog walk and began to drizzle. Came home after just 5 minutes and then poured down. No thunder storm though here
Oh, it has stopped as suddenly as it started. Hmmm, that was useless for the garden - only 5 minutes if that.

Never seen it rain so much in this part of Essex (near Colchester) bound to be flooding, thundery shower started 2 hours ago and still going. No warning on met office forecast.

About an hour ago, we did have thunder and a decent spell of rain, but now the sun is shining againSmile

Had some torrential downpours yesterday and a few rumbles of thunder mid-afternoon.
Have woken up this morning to beautiful sunshine and it's 18.3C

Was a lovely day yesterday. This morning grey, 13 degrees and dry.

We are still needing more rain here. The dog tracks are cracked like there's been an earthquake. At least no muddy paws Smile

Did turn out lovely later on and has been very warm in the sun.
Just hazed over now.

Yesterday we thought lightening had stuck something that exploded. It sounded as if my roof had fallen on my ceiling with a bang. It was a sunny day, so lightening was unlikely.

It was supposed to be a jet causing a sonic boom. The ground shook and windows rattled in my areaShock.
Still no rain, but the sun has at last jump started my climbing roses to bloomSmile . Sunny atm today.
