Lightning/storms today

Thought I caught something about this on the school run this morning and the forecast from the metoffice seems to confirm it.
Be interesting to see if anyone gets any storms. We keep getting threatening looking clouds here and it's a bit blustery.

It does look rather galeish and unsettled - perhaps quite wild for some on southern/western coasts over night. Hello autumn!

We had a thundery shower around 5.45 but it's just properly started raining here. I'm thinking that with all this wind and rain, and with all the leaves on the trees still, it could be a bit nasty tonight and in the rush hour tomorrow.
Was just remarking to DH how it was 8.10pm and nearly dark! Yep, here comes autumn (With the nights drawing in, I'm also jokingly saying, "Soon be Christmas!" It doesn't seem to go down well!)
