Easter weekend weather

We are camping in Snowdonia over the Easter weekend.

I keep checking the weather forecasts, but they all say different things. The Weather Channel has it sunny all weekend, the BBC and met office has thundery showers for Saturday and Sunday, Metcheck has thundery showers just for Saturday.

So wise weather people, wellies or sunhats?

It's Wales! Take sunhats and wellies, you get all weathers in Snowdonia whatever the weather forecast says!! I understand the area has its own micro climate so general weather forecasts only give a vague indication rather than any accuracy!
Enjoy your weekend in Snowdonia - in my experience it's fab whatever the weather Grin.

Leonie ~ I think for most places, the forecast is about the same; sunny intervals with the possibility of thundery showers. Today's supposed to be the warmest day (23C) but from tomorrow (according to Breakfast TV this morning) a cold front moves across the country, so temps will be near normal ~ 13C.
(Not sure where OYBBK is; haven't 'seen' her here for a week or so. Hope she's OK.)

mankyscotslass · 22/04/2011 10:39

I think OYBBK said she was away for a week or so round about Easter. I hope that's the case. Smile

GloriaSmud · 22/04/2011 14:43

Ah thanks for that, Manky. I wasn't sure if she was going away.
('Winterpetunia' here; not sure if you've seen any of my other posts with my new name!)

Welcome back OYBBK! Hope you enjoyed your break.

Just had a look on NOAA when I got up...our weather may be settled at the moment, but there has been more tonadic activity in the States.

GloriaSmud, love the name change, I keep thinking about mine but am totally uninspired!

Sad

It's frightening how early the season started this year, and also how frequent the storms have been.

I'm sure I saw an article suggesting the Hurricane season this year is going to be above average too, but I can't find it.

I'm thinking it's to do with el nino and la nina.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 25/04/2011 22:59

It is manky - more severe storms :(

mankyscotslass · 26/04/2011 10:42

I was Shock this morning to see the warnings were still in place!

It must have been a very worrying evening for a lot of people. Sad
